Just don't cry when the nice looking skulls are worn down after using them so much.

The idea of them getting worn down actually makes me happy. I think well worn and showing their age shows character and is classy. :)

They are soooo beefy, it will take a long time. Whenever I can catch the tri colors in stock maybe they will go to a less used postion. :)

Anyway yeah its much nicer than using stick on googly eyes as a type of legend/guide for hand positioning.

BTW how about a Boston Celtic green color skull, people love green, please. On second thought don't worry about it if it delays the candy corn keys, those things blow my mind.

hello, just got my tricolor topre skull today. very sexy.

just a quick question, it doesn't "click" in like the other topre keys? like when you take a normal topre key off and put it back in, it "clicks" to let you know it's back on. with the skull, it kind of just slides in, no click? is this normal?

I'm not sure if titanium will be one he will sell. Maybe as special order...? Seems like it would be really expensive.

Will be grabbing a blue keycap to fund potential ice keys in the future! Also, my loins have decided they want a tenkey set. I was considering going tenkeyless but as I was entering my credit card info to grab a Leopold I realized I was using my numpad. Can't go without it.
Also, really hoping we see some of the other options in the first post at some time. The white on black skull is loinfully awesome.

Haahaa thanks =)
Just make sure you don't let your loins do all the decision making.

Hmmm... what are you guys trying to say?
LoL!

The candy corn WASD keys are flipping AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do want all my keys to look like candy corns.
Actually all of them are really nice and I hope to see some new stuff on EK.
My two blue skull keys are on 1 and 5 in my num row helping me position my hands when playing SC2. Manly, Sexy and Functional :)

Sweet, thanks and nice to hear! =)

Quote from: Chobopants;308470
Wow that's a really good idea actually. I might do 1 and 0 for SC2. Support for all rows eventually would be awesome. Would LOVE to have a yellow skull for A (attack) and a red skull for H (hold position), which is my default hand position, or maybe F and J for home row index fingers. The options are endless. :)
But yeah...mostly want the ice keys right now, though the different colored blood splats are high on my list too. So many awesome ideas that I can't wait for. :):)

Thanks! I have been using different combinations of the keys as well, for both practical and fun uses. I have been using them on trouble keys for me eventhough I am a pretty good touch typist but sometimes I get tripped up. I also use them as reminders for combo keys and second function layered keys in certain programs and boards etc.

And yes it's normal. I have two designs currently out there and they are barely different. One does more of a click/snap into place and the other one does not. They were designed to fit and stay in place, not give you a satisfying sound when replacing them, haahaa.  =P
I am glad you like them.

Indeed, eventhough there were some in that first run that did not click, many of them did. They were just from different molds. I can't remember what ratio it was, but they are functionally the same.

Everyone-

I would just like to thank you all for being as interested and supportive of this endeavor of mine as you have been. I really truly appreciate it and it keeps me motivated. Having said that I would like to formally post (for those who do not know) why there has been such a gross delay in my responses and dealings as of late.

As many of you know I have been overwhelmed with responses regarding these keys and the actual development of them as well. This however is not the sole, nor main reason for the delays. I took a big leap recently and went full force in my pursuit of a more formal and localized career in the arts. I have worked as a professional in the arts (entertainment industry in particular) for over ten years now both as an employee and independent contractor. However at times this has made pursuing my own work difficult becasue of industry fluctuations and awkward timelines. This new/recent career pursuit of mine seems to have worked as I was recently hired as an Art Technician.

So far this job has been very interesting but overwhelming as I now oversee an entire department and facility. By design this new job should open many more opportunities for personal work than I had before, specifically in two ways. One, this should provide a more stable financial backing to my pursuits and two, the extensive studio environment extends my abilities quite profoundly. However, as with all new directions there are a new set of potential roadblocks. This new roadblock of sorts relates to my free time, I have little of it. This should in due time be relatively mitigated as I get used to the new environment, workload, and timeframe.

For the real important part:  ;P
YES, I am still making keycaps and I intend on continuing to do so! I am just super bogged down at the moment, things will pick up in due time. I WILL get to everyone's PMs and emails... just hang on....  =)

For the tl;dr crowd-
New job -> more abilities now -> but currently overworked -> still working on keycaps -> slow replies -> hopefully will kick ass in a bit!   ;)

Phew! Now back to work...

Anyone actually has one of his tri-color keycaps on their HHKB Pro?

I'm asking because I'm afraid the height difference might be too large, as HHKB has their top row all next to each other.. and I'd like to place it at the ESC position..

Here's a picture from ironman31 previously in the thread (Only one I found)

In fact it may be many moons before any others in the OP makes it to market.   Sorry if I sound pessimistic but I'm a veteran of the Unicomp Mini Wars and am seeking V.A. coverage.

EK will still get more orders of the tri color, right? I went to order a topre one and when I went to check out it told me the key was sold out, even though the website says different :/

I'm really hoping those tricolor skull keys come back in stock on EK soon...they say in stock, but every time I try to buy them it won't let me! I've been trying every few days just to make sure I can get mine :p

I've been checking periodically for them being back in stock too.  I might have to spring for a Torpre skull keycap (even though I don't own a Topre board yet!)

New prototypes in the works?  I'm excited to see what comes next!
Filco Tenkeyless "Otaku" (Blue), Leopold Tenkeyless "Otaku" (Brown), Leopold Tenkeyless (Blue), Goldtouch GTC-0077 Numeric Pad (Brown)
In the mail: HHKB Pro2 White/Gray

WTB: G80-8113HRBUS-2 with Clear switches

Well, seems like Brian has just updated the page.  It now shows "No" (not in stock).

Brian says they'll be experimenting with more "alternatives" from "Clack Factory" for Topre and Leo Caps(besides the "skull" version).
Personally, I'm hoping for "Titanium" and WASD's of like "Switch" color.
In order of purchase:
Unicomp Space Saver(Black) - Topre Realforce 103U-UW -   Topre Realforce 103UB - Leopold Tenkeyless MX Blue - Leopold Tenkeyless MX Brown - Filco Majestouch 2 MX Blue - Filco Majestouch 2 MX Brown

Aren't Leo caps the same as Filco caps other than stabilized keys?
Filco Tenkeyless Brown | Filco Tenkeyless-2 Blue | Leopold Tenkeyless Blue
