He is just jealous
Mine arrived today and these keycaps are really thin...absence of some kind of support also makes the keycaps "flexible" on the sides (who cares). Although I like these keycaps, $50 is pretty expensive... probably more economical to harvest double shots from Cherry MYs, but, u get the "perfect" 104 keys from SP+ u can actually customize ur keycaps
I rrrove brrracks.

In response to your original post there:

In a word, yes.

Second, it gets more disturbing when you realize that it's a Lego with cleavage and an eyepatch.

Aww, he even used my pic.  I miss webwit.  I agree, though, that I dig the clean, modern look more than the vintage look.  I would hope the second round of caps goes for something a little more modern and simple, but there are ton of freak-show ideas getting floated around over there.

shouldn't the up and down arrow be different heights? the uparrow is so high that i actually flip it around and it sorta creates a cool inward slope feel, but both ways don't feel natural.

I got my set in the mail today, and I'm loving it so far. Just one problem: I'm using the international version and the second blank key does not have the same profile as the second row so it feels a bit out of place. Anyone else tried this set on their ISO boards yet?

I finally installed my set, and I love them. The texture of the keys is much superior to the Filco originals. Not to mention the "looks totally badass" part.

One quibble: the injection spru is on the front edge of the key, and so is visible between the cracks of home row. I don't know why they wouldn't be on the back - every other key I've ever seen has them on the back.

Yeah I noticed this too. It's not a biggie though - if they really annoy you, you can get rid of them with a penknife or nail file.

so i used some sandpaper to "rough" it up, get some texture in it (not to much or you won't have a keycap left) and then finally the secret , spit
spit to mix in the texture and the filings and it kinda evens out the injection nub.

the top row with the orange is the sanded down keys, and the bottom row is to compare.

Patience.  You will more than likely get yours before I get mine even though I am geographically closer.  I'm estimating 2 weeks from US east coast to Canada west coast, which is the norm for normal mail that isn't Express/Next Day/etc.  The guy in Singapore will probably get his before I get mine.  I'll just enjoy the pics of everyone else's new keys in the mean time.  :canada:  (I can't believe this board has a Canada smilie.)

I have been using my G80-3000 with these caps the past few days, and I really like them.  I wouldn't mind getting some in all-black with smaller legends for a Filco.  They feel almost IBM-esque minus the thickness.

I just pulled off the keys and pulled some others to compare. It seems you must have ordered the wrong rows as it matches my 'Q' key - this is row two from the top.

Also, I'm missing a small left-shift key. Was it supposed to be included in the Int'l pack or was it never made to begin with?
I've now replaced it with a diamond key...

I assumed rows were being counted bottom-up.

I don't think a small shift was meant to be part the international booster pack since it just specifies 1 enter key and two blanks. I'm using the alternate meta key in it's place - it's the same profile.

Edit: Actually now that I triple check it my two blanks are not identical! The difference is very small so I didn't notice this at first but now I'm comparing with one key from the Q row and I see they're actually the same! My bad WhiteRice, I couldn't see a difference last time I checked. The difference between Q row and A row is a lot smaller than between A and Z.

No it's not part of the pack. I will also use a spare blank or meta key for a few keys.

Here's an illustration I made from the pictures on wikipedia for ANSI/ISO layouts showing the difference between "ANSI" and "ISO" keyboard layouts:

It's not a biggie for me, but optimally the international packs should have had a row 3 and row 4 blank.

Mine arrived yesterday and I'm sorry to report that the plate on my Filco is mounted very slightly more to the left, causing the replacement keys to touch the left edge of the board. I'm debating if I should sell the keyset, the Filco (brown 10keyless non-otaku bought last month), or both.

I suspect the haters are just bitter because there aren't enough people who share their boring keyboard taste to make a group buy possible.
