even the "for dummies" page is way too complicated for me. can we get a simple pictorial page or a set of straightforward directions for busy people?

I'm afraid, there is no straight forward way.

What do you want?

Might be a very stupid question but this is the final product for standard retro kit, right?

In the TERMINAL kits, both \| and Back-space are included.

Maybe I should add these 2 to the STANDARD kit as well.

BTW, BACKSPACE100 looks like this (in your case the white part will be black and the black part will be very dark grey):

Note: If you hit this button,
a kitten dyes her keys!

ah.... understood but that also means alot of hassle for me right?
there is no standalone single unit backslash except in terminal kit, but there's a lot of caps i don't need in the terminal kit. The std kit make more sense to me but i will lack a back space and back slash.

So, If I wanted to order the ANTICAPSLOCK set in the Dark Orange color scheme and the RGB set in dark, would the order look like:

DARK/ANTICAPSLOCK/ORANGE
DARK/RGB

Also, would you be able to include two WIN keys with this?

If I buy the 7bit layout Phantom, which spacebar, if any, should I buy? What are you using in the layout picture on the GB wiki?

This would have to be a key available in ROUND3 style.
Although I absolutely love the colors of the spherical set (best colors in the GB imo). But not having keys for the Swedish å, ä and ö would drive me insane, so I just can't buy it.

SPH/SE

You need a 1.5 units key with either SPACE on it or blank.

I will take care of blank keys over the week-end.

Maybe there will be a SPACE7BIT kit available with 1.5 and 1 unit space bars!

Ah, didn't realize there were a SPH/SE, what are the chances of that actually being made though? Seeing as there are no other orders for spherical language kits at all.
Now I probably need to add a SPH set to my order, this is getting ridiculously expensive.

I like the idea of a SPACE7BIT kit. Would make things super easy for me :)

BTW. I see something on the wiki called BSD. What king of key is that?

That depends on how many SPH kits you take. I'm quite sure it will some NORDIC kit, like the last time, but it surely will happen.

SPACE7BIT is now officially available!

You get 4 modern space bars in one kit for the price of one old-fashioned, conventional space bar!!!!

It contains:

1 unit space bar blank
1 unit space bar with SPACE on it
1.5 units space bar blank
1.5 units space bar with SPACE on it

Available in any Style!

Only $3 per set![1]

Ok that's nice. Unfortunately I can only afford one SPH kit with a few supplements. I got way too many kits already ordered.

Also added some SPACE7BIT to my order. They are awesome, I recommend everyone to get a few (So we can get that lovely price).

If there were a SPH set of blank 1 unit keys, with one of each row, then I would want at least 6 sets. That's what I meant by 6 columns. (The set could have an extra row 3 for the modifier row, and an extra row 1 for the function row — that's not important to me.) Same for 1.5 unit keys. Basically, I mean sets similar to BLANKPOS, except 1.0 and 1.5 units instead of 2.

If they were row 3 only instead of all rows then I would order at least 25 caps worth. That might be better for the 1.5 unit, so that they would match the other SPH modifiers and the SPH/BLANKPOS set.

(I don't personally have any use for keys labelled 'SPACE'.)

There exist mainly 3 keyboard layouts:

- ANSI wide space bar, lots of 2.25 to 2.75 units keys

- ISO  wide space bar, lots of 2.25 to 2.75 units keys, return key over 2 lines (JRET)

- 7BIT  1 or 1.5 units space bar, largest key 1.75 units (except for POS keys).

Either I'm blind or there is no * (star) key in NUMERIC?
I think I would like there to be.

Also I was thinking about a *, (star comma) 1,75 row 2 key (thats the size of the |\ key right?). That way I could make a rather nice Swedish ANSI layout.
Maybe this could be included in the SE kit (pretty please)? I fully understand if it's not possible though.

Just remind me from time to time to add it to the SE kit!

The * could be added to the NUMERIC kit, but it is already in TERMINAL and STANDARD (row 1).

Awesome. I will definitively visit this thread and bug you about adding it to the SE kit form time time to time. Multiple times a day if thats what it takes :)

About the *. I was hoping to only have to buy TENKLESS and as I want a few keys from NUMERIC anyway it would fit my needs perfectly.

So I think I'm narrowing down on the keys I want, especially since so many are being taken care of by other group buys here.

Does this order follow if I want single TKL sets and two of the Lotus, Commodore Esc, and Commodore Win keys?

DARK/TKL/ORANGE
NOIR/TKL
DARK/LOTUSESC/ORANGE 2
NOIR/COMMODOREESC 2
NOIR/COMMODORE125 2

Just want to make sure I'm doing this right before I submit it.

Also, is there an option for just the letter keys? If not it's cool, I'll just get the TKL set then.

Thanks in advance

Hey 7bit. Something about retro. Is there any was to get all function keys in dark grey instead of dark and light? Will tab, shift, enter, backspace, windows and menu buttons have symbols on them?

If at all, they come with SP's thin arrows. However, you can order the thick symbol keys for Backspace, Capslock and Shift in many sizes and colors.

well i did add padlock caps lock and cross in arrow backspace. But still other keys with symbols would be nice.

What about same color for all function keys. Now its alternating.

Isn't number row and f key row not row 4?

Either way, I need the number 6 that is under the f keys. And it's like bent out of shape. Like heat was applied to it and warped the shape.

The problem is, that this is defined differently depending on whom you ask...
WASDkeyboards (Link) for example defines the rows different than it is here in the groupbuy.

We order from Signature Plastics, so we use their numbering system.

Otherwise, the confusion would cause even more errors ...

Hey, 7bit, my Leopold has a scratch on the back (not my fault) so can you add it to the replacement list?

Doesn't SP know how to do symbols? Or is it just our choice to has the things like "Up" and "Meta" spelled out?

Also, only the SPH set is available in spherical caps, correct? All others are cylindrical?
