Personally, I am interested in the Russian/Red & ANSI/Black on white.  I think that black/red on gray (instead of on white) would not look nearly as cool.  This is less true for the single legends, e.g. International.

However, having Russian/Red & ANSI/Black on white 1x keys with gray modifiers would look as well or better.

Since gray keycaps are in stock and it is the white keycaps that mean we have to hit an MOQ of 300, would white 1x keys with gray modifiers reduce the MOQ?

MOQ for white/greybeige 2tone is same as all white - 300 set. I don't want to change to something else with same high moq this late. People are expecting one thing, and might drop out if change leaving us in same situation even if others would prefer to order that.

Seems odd that Hangul buy don't want to offer white at all... unhelpful. So f*ck them then, if at least 30 want white Hangul I will add it, let people know.

I'd be okay with having the blue on white ANSI change into blue on white with grey mods if it'll bring bigger interest. But obviously this is just one geekhacker speaking.

Personally I prefer all white, white/grey look a bit old in my opinion =_____=  Though I'm not against white/blue modifier, but at this point it just sounds too complicated and probably better off leaving it as is.

As for all black letter, I wonder if we can just switch US International (black letter blue symbol) to US ANSI all black (black letter).  I had a feeling most got US International because it was the only "US Letter Set" at the time, and I'm pretty sure they won't mind having the weird symbols missing.  But you can probably do an interest check to see if those guys are ok with it.  This way you don't have to generate "new" options and can keep things simple.

Also although we didn't have a poll, but seems like most people are ok with sticking around till 300 MOQ.  Good job guys !

Quite right, US Intl is quite widely used in some European countries. I'm sure there are some that do want that, or they wouldn't have placed order for it, or would have asked to have changed it by now at the least.

Ops my bad, not too familiar with European symbols.  I can tell apart the Taiwanese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese symbols but is clueless on European layout lol.

But yeah maybe go with limmy's suggestion or do an interest check on hangul buy, since we're running white colour might not be in direct conflict with the other grey colour group buy

Are these keycaps better in any way from the engraved and printed caps from Qtan and Feng?? I know these are dye-sublimated but are the blank caps thicker or higher quality than the sets that they sell? BTW, I am asking because I want PBT caps or my future mech and I may put an order in if it helps you guys out.

Also, would these work with any Costar board,... like a CM QFR or WASD V1?

Yes, these set would be full compatible with any standard ansi 104/87 MX keyboards, and partial compatible with other layout. These are thick cap with lower Cherry profile. I prefer these to the 'oem' style keycap found as stock on costar.

Set will come with center stem fulltouch caps lock for most board, and also off center stepped for Cherry and kit boards. MX keycaps is MX keycap, it makes no matter what type of stailizer is on the keyboard. everyone use same stem spacing for shifts, enter, backspace... some have different stemp distance on space bar which may or may not be compatible with all boards.

If a good amount of other people will commit to adding a set, I will add another to my order (blank).  Maybe we should get an IC for adding another set and people who would buy a set if there was a solid time frame.  I bet a lot of people are holding out as they don't want to have their money "floating".

Okay, Rev B: smaller (2pt drop across the board), new font (Shruti); "Control" instead of "CTRL;" most arrows scaled down a bit.

The photoshop document I've got going is basically a flexible template now - fonts/colors can be updated pretty quickly (and in bulk for the most part).  For example of what's possible with a minimal amount of effect (and some decent photoshop knowledge), see the second combo I've uploaded.  Also, if someone could update me with the actual font intended for production, I'll see if I can track it down and update the template.

Doing another layout (ie, Russian, etc) would be a pain, but I can upload the photoshop document if someone else wants to take a stab at it...

Edit: Now on Rev C - cleaned up spacing, added win 7 style logo and right click/menu keys
Edit 2: Rev D up (blue only) - went back to "Control" instead of "Ctrl," better alignment of the arrows/text for the left side control, shift, caps lock, tab keys, and a few other minor spacing tweaks.  Next up is finding better graphics for the arrows.

Haha nice, originally I wanted to order the white keycaps with blue letter from qtan also.  But the version he has uses the weirdest font ever which I have no idea why they would choose that.  So I didn't end up ordering then I saw this, this basically has everything I want so it's perfect (color and thick PBT).

Ok sorry for being a pain in the ass but one more check before putting in another order. Is 5 the limit for number of different dyesub customizations we can have? I think a lot of people are holding out from buying the US set because it is in blue font. I don't disagree with it and will get it if nothing else is offered but would like to know if another option can be looked into.

I think we can have as many as we want but preferably a set that will generate enough interest.  Factory probably doesn't want to set up all the machines just to print 2 sets of 1 layout, so if you can prove it to Lysol that there is enough interest for it then he will most likely add more options.

Kind of why fruktstund made that Hangul Set Interest check.  Maybe you can make one for black letter set too? 

Personally the blue letter ANSI set is my ideal colour.  But maybe it's like you said some people out there just prefer black letters lol.

I have accepted that having a few more options may be necessary, but I still want to keep it sane as possible. Nothing with less than 30 sets intrest will be considered.
I'll leave it to the group to suggest, and support other set options. If support is there I will add those options to the order form, or I can let someone else collect all of those orders and just forward the money to imsto, whatever is preferred.
It would also probably be a good idea to IC these new ideas in the IC thread of it's own, to gather more attention.

I understand completely trying to keep things manageable since you'll be sorting 300 cap sets (I'll pray for you) but I'm just throwing up a suggestion because that style seems to be very popular because it looks really nice and before you had to buy 2 sets to get that effect

Sticking to all white, as that is what the moq is all about. Even though imsto has grey in stock, they don't split full set to sell just the mod keys. So unless an equal amount of people wanted the reverse of white mods and grey alphas I don't see it happening.

I have a gray set on order with Imsto, and was going to use this set to do exactly what Lysol suggests.
