Nice.  The more I see those the more I want some :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yeah, at first I was all "Those are nice, but..." then, as people posted pics and stuff I found my desire rise as I found little things I liked.  And it doesn't look too bad on a blue cased pure with leds, either.

I actually do that type of category browsing sometimes while I am at work on the weekend... LOL. It has paid off a few times.
Some of my interesting stuff has been from ebay, but also a lot of private trades with forum members.

I've been doing this too, although thankfully the search results are far more limited since I search eBay Australia only.

Got lucky with my 11900 considering how new I am to this whole thing; searched "cherry keyboard" and it was one of only a few results. Otherwise, I've been trying "ps/2 keyboard" then sorting by price and sometimes selecting Used items only.

I like to give nicknames to things I have which are unique and that I enjoy. For keyboards, the first to get a nick name was the G80-1800 Green Machine

Now inspired after watching The Avengers, I put my hack orange CC & 1.5x cherry mods I got in the mail together with some other stuff I already had to create the Scarlett Johansson
Orange hair = hack orange CC
Skin = white case from G80-1863
Black outfit = black cherry DS
Underneath? = vintage cherry blacks

Real picture

I might like this one even more than Green Machine  ;D

Not sure, and can't confirm right now as I'm on my phone, but I've used both now for some time. I shoot RAW on my DSLR, exporting as a max quality JPEG and on many occasions I've attempted to upload the same file to both sites and the imgur version always looks recompressed, with a noticeable decline in quality when put side-by-side with the Flickr upload. The only reason I still use imgur so often is for quick uploads to show friends without needing to bother with tags, etc. on my Flickr.

Edit: Check out this Flickr upload and this imgur upload. Redownloading them shows filesize of 1.15MB and 273KB respectively. Note especially the high contrast detail, e.g. the "Delete", etc. cluster.

With standard accounts, images over 1 MB will be compressed until they are less than 1 MB. With pro accounts, your images aren't touched in any way unless they are over 5 MB, in which case they will be compressed until they reach 5MB in size.

So no my pics are fine when I upload them

For Flickr I'm not sure if its the same with regular vs pro accounts, I used to have a free pro account but that was taken away so i had the choice to upload to either flickr or imgur since both pro accounts cost approx the same yearly. For the sake of simplicity i went with imgur

In the end both is good :)

Ah, that makes a lot of sense.

From my experience Flickr doesn't compress regardless of Pro or not - I had a Pro account for a while too.

The annoying thing about Flickr is that it's not appropriate for everyday image sharing. Simply getting the direct link to the image is such a hassle especially when you're trying to do a big batch. That's where imgur is far more convenient. Also, black background across the board!

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.
