lol ok tx
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

To get back on topic, I scored one of these monstrosities on eBay recently. Just completely ripped it apart, I'm thinking custom 62cN MX switches.

Won this little fella on ebay last week.  It was advertised as used, but as far as I can see it is NIB.  Zero shine or visible wear on the keys, no dust or other schmutz underneath the keys.

may I ask how much you won this?

There is item notify option if you set up saved search. When new item listed it will email you. There is some delay, so if someone happen to be on the site when new item goes live and buy it first it won't help you much but still. It was helpful for me to get my Amiga 2000 G80-0879HAU.

I wish you could get a set of black blanks for the 87U.  It would go perfectly with something I'm in the process of putting together. ;D  Unfortunately the closest you can get is black printed on black and you have to buy an entire keyboard to get it.  I almost crapped myself when I saw his black blanks, until I realized that you can get a set for the HHKB.
