CM QF Pro (Browns) from Newegg Black Friday sale.

Impressions:

 - About as gamy as expected.  CM Fire logos everywhere.
 - LEDs not awful.  In fact, the three normal LEDs are behind some white plastic and are nicely muted.
 - Build quality seems fine; naturally labeled "made in China".
 - Included a keycap-puller, but no replacement keycaps. (?)
 - Keycap quality and feel as expected; font face less annoying than expected.
 - MX Brown switches feel fine.

And on the plus side:

 - The single best removable USB cable I have ever seen.  Truly.  nice fabric sheath, gold-tone connectors, well-made; all normal things.

The happy surprise came after I pushed the connector into the keyboard and my PC and got nothing.  Then I removed and re-inserted -- with more force -- and it actually "clicked" into place.  It was physically hard to remove.  This cable is not coming out by mistake.

Again, on first impression, this is perhaps the best mini-USB connector pair I have ever used.

I was expecting to be underwhelmed.  I was not.

Good job, Cooler Master.

I bought this Dell AT101 on ebay this weekend for $30 shipped.  Didn't know if it was a 101R or 101...but I decided to roll the dice.  It showed up today and is in amazing condition (even had the plastic cover still protecting the num lock cap lock scroll lock LED area).  The ALPS switches are probably in the best condition I have ever seen amongst the many ALPS boards I've owned.  IDK why more people don't like black ALPS...they are like a better cherry brown...a little heavier...a little more tactile..but they don't have that heaviness you generally associate with ALPS switches.

Nice.  I like the classic white/gray colour scheme too, kinda reminds me of when all keyboards I used were like that.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Salmon ALPS seem heavier with more of the weight being at the top of the switch.  Black ALPS seem a little lighter and much less tactile than salmon alps.

Edit:  I still like salmon ALPS more though.

Dang!  And then the USPS brought my package of Hearts, Billiard Balls, and Yin/Yang keycaps from Techkeys!

And now the replacement Filco MJ2 has arrived from the UK courtesy of DHL!  That came very fast!

Must leave them in boxes.  Must do actual work.  That Filco doesn't really need a top row of billiard balls now.

A profusion of riches!  Thanks Brad and KeyboardCo!

20 full, 1 half, 3 empty. Figure when the sale came up, I'd go all out. Think it'll look nice on the G80. I have no room on my normal boards for the hearts hehe. But I am a crazy zelda fan, so I may like them more than you :)

Looking forward to seeing what you put yours on!

I didn't get it in the mail but I am thrilled to have it in my collection.

My brother-in-law and fellow Geekhacker brought this bad boy home today from the law office he is working at, they are switching offices and we have been finding all sorts of goodies that they have deemed unworthy.  It needs a bit of cleaning and it's missing a control keycap and the F9 keycap but other than that it works great and types even better!

We don't know too much about these so I will be reading up on which type I have tonight and how to go about cleaning it and restoring it back to new.

Yeah definitely. There's shine on keys with more use (numpad keys, enter, esc,) but for the most part it's good.

Unfortunately I wasn't gentle enough, and got a piece of a broken stem stuck in the F12 key :(

Find one of those tiny loop screw, and be careful and thread it into the broken stem, get a good grip and pull it out.

I use this method many time, same idea as remove cork from the wine bottle.
