Yeah, that part was an actual question. I've seen gas masks before, but wanted to know what this one was called. Thanks.

Just got these pour soules in the mail, along with 4 rubberdomes that look even worse. (two were pierced through with something, let alone all the cables were cut off)

First and second say nothing about the model, just that they were produced on 93-11-3 and 29-07-88. IBM Model M I suppose?
The third is a G80-3000HGD with nice doubleshots. I guess it was an okay buy for 33€ shipped.

Scored a working Dolch Pac station today!

Probably paid too much, but I couldn't walk past Vintage Cherry keys in my native language  :p

Except for the arrow keys the caps have almost no shine! Is there a possibility to use the board with a modern computer? Some kind of adapter or cable mod?

I also got the CMYW set today which will go perfectly with the Dolch keys.

It's super easy to use Dolch keyboard on modern PC. It speaks AT like any other old 1800. You can either make a simple 4P4C to ps/2 adapter if you want to be able to use it on the original machine and others, or do what I always do and just open it up and hardmod it with a PS/2 cable. There have been a few threads about it around here.

They are both ISO German QWERTZ layouts.  Both need new SDL cables.  The 1391403 is a standard, the 1394542 is the RS/6000 version (built-in speaker.)  Nice find!
You need stabilizers for the numpad keys.  They probably wobble really bad.

Sorry about being nosy.   :D

I have used a few Spigen cases in the past, and they are some of the best. If you like putting a case on your phone, you can't go wrong with them.

For tempered glass protectors, I would look around for cheap Chinese ones. I used a Spigen before, but the nilkin one I had was just as good, if not better, and a fraction of the cost.

Where do you get it? ebay?

yeah, ebay for about $40 shipped from germany.  the caps are somewhat shiny, but are otherwise very clean and not yellowed.  don't know whether this was a reasonable price or not.  i'm still new at this old cherry stuff. :)

Got my first girlDC cap. Sorry about the picture quality.

that looks really cool. :)  i have one of the older metal ones.  pics on a board, please. :)

i used to have a spigen plastic/rubber bumper for my iphone.  it was very stylish, and people were always asking about it.  however, it wasn't very durable because of its minimal design.  one of the thin areas where the button cutouts are broke while i was pulling my phone out of my jeans pocket.

Huh thanks for the input guys. I never really liked a case but Spigen looked cool because it was so minimal. Guess I'll just hunt for an affordable glass protector.

+1 for Spigen cases too. I use the Tough Armor for iPhone 6+ and it's really durable and feel solid. Made the iPhone bulky though.

40$ shipped is reasonable price, I think. Shipping fee is quite cost while price is quite good.

well considering shipping from germany is like $30-35 I'd say you got a pretty good deal :p

I ordered a 1800 set from China, and was curious about how this will work out. I never ordered from TaoBao before. I got the package after it was send to the agent I used about 5 days later (to middle Europe) - so it was really fast! Shipping was about $35 and the caps were $49.

The quality of the caps is not bad at all, the caps are in really good condition:

But a few of them, I counted 4 caps, are rather bad quality, they seem to be sanded or cleaned 'too heavy':

I ordered a 1800 set from China, and was curious about how this will work out. I never ordered from TaoBao before. I got the package after it was send to the agent I used about 5 days later (to middle Europe) - so it was really fast! Shipping was about $35 and the caps were $49.

The quality of the caps is not bad at all, the caps are in really good condition:

But a few of them, I counted 4 caps, are rather bad quality, they seem to be sanded or cleaned 'too heavy':

Yes. Almost stuff from taobao at not good conditions.

I got a notification for a package. It's very vintage. It will be a surprise for me when I open it. It's a Micro Switch keypad, all I know.

There's a some chance for Reed switch. I was hoping for Hall effect, but it's probably not the case from the information I got. If it's either of them I will be SUPER HYPED.

I feel HYPE LV 2000 right now!

Pictures tonight!

Ah OK, I never ordered before there. There are some nice things I would be interested in, but unfortunately it is not easy to use with online translation tools. Especially user reviews would be good to read!

But in the end I am happy with that purchase, I thought that the quality would be even worse!

Nothing keyboard related.

One can never have too many mice!

Yee Zowie

Paid a little under 20 dollars for each but I'm already preferring these to the Logitech and Razer mice I have lying around (especially considering that half of my Razer mice are now broken)

The caps of my G80-3000, doubleshots too, looked just like that (little spots that seem to be dirty), especially on the function row.
I got rid of most of those spots with a hard sponge and some patience.
Maybe these caps are just not sanded/cleaned heavily enough? Just a guess though.
