One of my beloved FC660M keyboards, with a new Massdrop aluminum case. Outfitted with Raindrop keycaps from my original group buy. I had to mod a spacebar (cut off, move, superglue stems) to get a white one, but happy with it! (I have slightly different mod keys on it since the picture.)

That is amazing, probably the best looking FC660 I have ever seen. Awesome job getting that together.

really nice colours, great job.

I've always wondered with FC660 layout, how do people go about getting a second 2.25u shift? do they try and find an ISO user that doesn't need theirs?

Love it, aggiejy!  :thumb:  I love seeing the way that group buy organizers display their own creations.  Much respect for this one.

Yep, usually the only realistically viable option too.  In aggie's case, he probably had a few spares left over anyway.  ;)

Oooh, I wanted to see one of these in an aluminum case like this, but your photo really brings out the case and key cap set! Fantastic look. I used to think FC660s looked a little strange thanks to the odd arrow cluster +2 key arrangement, but it kind of gives it a weirdly exotic look that can only be identified as, well... the FC660 :P

Yep, on the original I don't remember it being a usb, think it was something else

Original was connected via SATA data cable, I don't think it changed for the second gen version.

yes it is. :) It's still uses SATA cable for splitting.

I flipped my Nuclear SA spacebar. It feels so different!

Ahahahaha

It's actually just to try and even out the shine :P

Mine are shiny all over!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

That would be...a fun process

I was planning on swapping the switches and caps onto my 55g 87u, but now I'm not sure if it's better to do that, or just put on sliders for SA caps...

At least that method leaves me with two boards I will actually use  :))

Yeah, I kind of like the squared off look of hi-pro caps compared to SA, but SA would definitely be the easier and more accessible way to do it!

I need to pick up some switch opening tools from them. I use my own homemade switch opening tools, but since they are made from galvanized steel that isn't too hard, I'm constantly having to bend them back into shape. Eventually they're going to be irreparable.

Gonna look into those.

Got some caps from unicomp for my Model F restoration. Their shipping is always really quick. The ESC (though not a perfect match font/size wise) was custom printed and they still arrived 2 days after ordering. Pretty pleased.

I'm liking Model F more each day. What color is that cable LSB? I got Maxx's controller and I been wanting a cable with that color.

This is just a grey one I use with my HHKB. techmattr is actually making a coiled red one for this keyboard :)

Oh ok. So just grey without double coiling?

GTX 970, AKA my birthday present I got myself on Thanksgiving, came in today!

Fallout 4 runs butter smooth @1080p 60fps on ultra. My GTX 760 didn't do too bad, but this card makes everything much smoother.
