Got some Tomoe River paper. Now I can see what all the fuss is about. Paired it with a soft writing mat, but I'm not sure it was the best choice as it's SUPER soft. Like, it bends over just holding it up. We'll see how it is writing, though.

My first KatzenKinder, an RGB M2! Thanks, USPS, for delivering it almost a week late.

Today I received a monitor stand that was ripped from a Benq XL2411Z. I got it mainly for its ability to pivot into portrait mode (for vertical shooters such as Ikaruga).

I got pretty much a brand new board that resembles somewhat of a G-1800 layout. Pimped it out real quick.

This is my first time typing on MX blacks and its not bad. I've always been a clicky person, but I slowly entered Topre and now I think I enjoy these linear switches. And this trackpad is pretty nifty too :)

This makes me super duper regretful missing out on the Compact 1800 GB ran by Meiosis

EDIT: Holy moly, this photo came out super potato.

The trackpad works flawlessly and its has more dpi then my current mouse(maybe cause I scroll with really low DPI)

Yea I really wanna try that too. Also I heard that 55g springs on blacks makes it feel even better? I'm currently scrolling through Zeals website  :) Also what kind of lube should I be using? I've never modded my switches before

I've been wanting to grab that board just because of the layout. I think it's the perfect keyboard if you wanna show all your novelty :)

problem with modern blacks is that it feels scratchy, unlike vintage
and by lubing them you'll make it even smoother, I use 62g on my vintage (but again different version of springs has different feel/act point)

You might wanna look up Zeal web for lube, he explains various different lube purpose there
what you want to put attention to is the method of lubing, there are many
I have mine lubed by someone else since it's the only lubed keyboard I have
but will be having a project soon which requires me to lube, will be looking more into it when the time comes and I'll let you know :)

This makes me super duper regretful missing out on the Compact 1800 GB ran by Meiosis

EDIT: Holy moly, this photo came out super potato.

I have the same keyboard, the layout is a pain in the ****ing ass because I never use the trackpad, but the plastic plate has any amazing thock sound.
demik will never leave.

Unless he gets banned.

Today I received a monitor stand that was ripped from a Benq XL2411Z. I got it mainly for its ability to pivot into portrait mode (for vertical shooters such as Ikaruga).

Is it just me, or does this look like an ASUS monitor on a BenQ stand?

Looks great! Green is my favorite color, so I'm a bit jealous.

More pictures to come once I get home!

Understatement.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
