Is that a vader in the bag?

Looks like some kind of painted glittery cap.

Moose is right.  I'm not really sure who made it but it's pretty nice.

Would've been sweet if it was a vader though. Still pretty cool.

Also, Techkeys you sure have an awesome business card! My business cards are clear plastic too! :)
Both of these keys are lower then my others, anyway to know that when ordering? * But WOW I love the ABS material I wish all my keys were!

If you have a stock Filco or Cooler Master, then chances are you already have ABS keys.

Are those mega LED?

We need an LED group buy here at geekhack so we can get reasonable prices on some of the more obscure colors.

The current ones I have running are:
1.) Node.js server
2.) Raspbmc media center with an attached 2gb usb drive.
This third one may be a small Apache/SQL/PHP webserver to support #1, otherwise, it will be another Raspbmc box.

I don't have any experience with the Beagleboard Black. I've heard the community/support is still growing and isn't mature as the Raspberry Pi's yet but once it is, I will surely try one out.

For the price, they're great fun to mess around with... you almost can't go wrong. At minimum you can use them to learn Linux or as a home theater/media player and can stream 1080p files from Windows networked machines. Sure works a charm if your computer is on the other side of the house as your TV!

If you buy things as quickly as that after just one recommendation, you will fit right in around here.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. I have about a dozen old servers lying around unused - no idea what I'd not use another one for.

So do I but at 2 watts idle I don't feel guilty leaving them on 24/7. None of my servers even come anywhere near that... most of mine are easily 70+ watts idle.

Just got me some alps from 7bit.

Man, these are so much better than MX-Blues, specially when you consider, I don't need the swaps and covers to have uber cool looking see through switch housings. Seriously though, the clickyness feels so solid on these it isn't funny. These are certainly my favourite now after BS.

Now to make a Alps ergodox, just need them damn keycap GB to happen. It would be so cool if we could somehow get GMK-quality caps, am I dreaming or is this possible?

Hopefully you keep singing that same tune after getting them installed on a PCB.  Alps are awesome, but they wobble, to the point that it makes some people hate them.  If there was ever a stabilized Alps permutation, I'd be all over it because they really are fun switches.

Guess what. The GH60 rev. B came today!:D

And I definitely prefer it white and glossy...

Forget the squabbling about auctions, this is a great and talented community that can draw together sufficient technical resources to design something so fantastic!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I am yet to acquire a PCB to install them, really hoping sprit/Matias can come up with something.

What is the issue? Wobble due to lose fitting plate?

Doesn't Duck have an alps PCB in production already?

I didn't really like the feel of the white clicky ALPS.  They felt too rough on the click, like it's not a smooth click as opposed to MX blues and greens.

Interesting, further proves I'm still king of newbs.

I'm more worried about keycaps though :(

The stem just has a lot more play in the housing than an MX switch.  An MX switch has the side rails and that tube that the cylinder it has on the bottom slides into.  All of those help stabilize it as it goes up and down.  Alps just have loose side rails.

Don't get me wrong, I like Alps even with the wobble, I just haven't found the right Alps for myself.

Matias is making caps soon and hopefully one day GH will have an ALPS group buy with SP.
