Yours looks very clean & nice

very clean

only a couple minor imperfections... small crack in the upper case, missing one of the rubber feets, and 6 broken rivets...

other than that, it's pristine

Are we allowed to post things we got in the mail here or just animu?  :p j/k

New toy arrived today:

This wasn't terrifying at all. That tube is about twice as long as the keyboard, and not actually big enough to contain it properly as evidenced by the bulge. Gleeeeep. More people need to learn box surgery. >_<

Forgot to take a naked pic, I got it secondhand without keycaps. Here it is with them:

Nice thick white/blue doubleshots I got literally thrown at me at the Bay Area keyboard meetup. They look dead sexy with the white backplate. I have no idea what brand or material they are rofl. They feel so much nicer than the keys on my Monoprice did though.

The Code and my Monoprice. Poor Mono looks so unsexy next to the Code. I still love you, Monoprice board.

Obligatory potato shot of the backlighting. I have it on the lowest brightness. Doesn't make it though the white at all but it actually does get through the blue a bit on some of the keys, moreso if I turn it up higher. I like the lowest setting, it's just this nice diffuse glow between the keycaps that does not turn up at all in a poorly lit cellphone shot. :P

Clears. Not as stiff as I'd feared but I learned that already at the meetup. Been using it for a few hours now, despite the heart attack-inducing packing job it seems to have made it to me perfectly fine. Apparently this keyboard and cockroaches will survive the nuclear holocaust. I miss the clack a little, but there's plenty of tactile feel. I don't bottom out as much either, which is good in the long run since my finger pads would hurt sometimes from typing on the blues.

I kind of want a board with greens now, just for the clack.

Also, Costar stabilizers are satan and I want them to die in fires.

One week to get here from Japan + one extra day because I needed to go to the post office to pick up the package.

Is it cheaper to get from Japan than from EK as you are in the US?

just need some RGBs and a CC/BroBot to throw on it, and it will be my most prized possession...

I can also recommend a BS KWK :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Outbreak Esc+FN from [CTRL]Alt

The picture doesn't do the caps justice, they look really quite nice in person and will go well with my pink Thorpee set. I'm happy I spied the page with them for sale on it before it was taken down, will have to take a pic of them on my board when I get home.

Last night, my 62g gold plated springs came in. I opened them today, and found a strawberry KitKat as well. Thanks Zeal.

I messaged him regarding rainbow sets, but it seems like he only has the green, pink and yellow sets left. They're pretty but not as pretty as the rainbow or the white sets :S
Uh, stuff.
