Kinesis Advantage by Tyler Liddicoat, on Flickr

My Kinesis Advantage finally arrived in the mail this afternoon. Threw my blanks on it and I'm loving the look and feel!
Nice, though I think it would look better with blue keys instead of orange keys.

Agreed, that would look really sick! These are off an old board, the next color blanks I buy will more than likely be blue.

I have those same 6 1/2s in my car and they actually sound nice and go quite loud without distorting

Im pretty happy with them, much better than the OEM speakers and they were a direct bolt-on replacement. They sound really nice, I could have paid twice as much for them and still been happy.

i wonder how cmyw or cmyk would look mixed in with the Cyrillic alphas and Dolch mods. My first instinct was the red in the alphas would clash but part of me wants to say I've see it and it looks good.

Always handy to have a couple of those lying around :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Now, these are some really nice keycaps, although the font could really use some work... :)

"Black Translucent PBT+POM Double Shot Keycap Set (Vortex)"

It's good enough to make this terrible toy (Tesoro Lobera Supreme) I got for review feel like an actual grown's-up keyboard.

But I still bet it'd look better on an actual Cherry MX RGB keyboard, since Double-Shot keycaps are even harder to backlit than your standard backlit key.

PS: Sorry for not using a nice proper board like some Ducky Shine IV or something actually fully compatible, but it's the only ANSI backlit keyboard I had available.
My collection:
More
Mice: Logitech G602, CM Storm Recon, CM Storm Spawn, Razer Naga, Ozone Radon Opto, Corsair M60, Tesoro Gandiva, CM Storm Alcor, Mionix Naos 8200.
Keyboards: Matias Secure Pro, Matias Mini Quiet Pro, custom modded Metadot Das Keyboard Model S Professional Silent (MX Brown, Costar), CM Storm Trigger (MX Brown), Noppoo Choc Mini (MX Red), Tesoro Lobera G5NFL Supreme, CM Storm Devastator.
Soon: CM Storm Quick Fire TK (MX Brown), CM Storm Trigger Z.
Boards I don't own anymore: CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid (MX Black), Logitech K800 (Membrane), Logitech G710+ (MX Brown), Thermaltake Meka G-Unit (MX Black), Corsair K70 (MX Red).
Mice I don't own anymore: Logitech G9x MW3, Corsair M65, Logitech G700, Roccat Kone Pure.

I mostly use it just to lock my computer with win l, other than that if I need to swap windows I just alt tab, or if I need to launch a taskbar program instead of using win 1-9 I will just click it. Ctrl Esc is the windows key in case you don't have one

I never use the win key for those things... more for doing stuff like, opening 'snipping tool' or control pannel, or word, or pretty much any program "winkey, start typing the first few letters of what you want, enter" no clicking around on icons, no counting the stickied tabs in your tool bar, ezpz

winkeyless boards make me weep with sadness

but it ain't even useful

the winkey in Windows post XP is crazy useful... if your a fast typer it's probably the fastest and most efficient way to navigate the OS
I mostly use it just to lock my computer with win l, other than that if I need to swap windows I just alt tab, or if I need to launch a taskbar program instead of using win 1-9 I will just click it. Ctrl Esc is the windows key in case you don't have one

Oh then it isn't that much slower to just control escape to open it lol

Yeah, it was hard at first because I missed my fast lock screen, but it is control escape, left left, up up, enter, and if you have fast hands it is easy

I actually thought they did away with that in 8.1 but I just tried it and it still...works?  Awful UI design. Looks like something Apple would come up with.
