unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

Lol! Well you guessed right because I'm a Gator! Orange and Blue for life :P Thanks a lot again. I can finally get to see why everyone gets them when I add them to my mod :)

The detail in printing is actually surprisingly pretty damn awesome! The printing did come out quite darker than the image itself but I guess that's to be expected but overall the print job is satisfactory. The texture is very smooth and flat which is good. They are supposedly okay to machine wash too so I assume they are quite durable. The only complain I have is with the cutting of the mousepad edges, which is rather rough but I can't complain for 99 cents. I'd be happy to pay the $5 or so if I have to in the future for a custom mousepad. It arrived much faster than I expected too.

Ooooo soylent green bars!!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

They don't carry them normally.  It's sold on line directly from Victorinox, but shipping was too much.  So you can ask your Victorinox dealer / store to order them for you and ship to store (which costs nothing).  They called me when the bottles arrived, and I paid $3+tax per bottle.

Hooray!  My first Topre!!! :) :D ;D  :p

Going to take a little while to get used to this layout :)

In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

the case is amazing, i cant believe how much difference it makes to the typing experience, the feel and the sound is totally different, and my keyboard may now weigh slightly more than me haha, for anyone on the fence about getting something like this, DO IT
