Sorry, but the photos of your brilliant Green G80-1800 had ignited an unrequited love for these babies.  PLUS BiNiaRiS had installed Ergoclears into it.  I have never owned or used them before hence now was a good time to jump on them.

I just want to see if they are indeed better than the Blues.

(P.S., That photo actually looks like me.)

Okay Demik, sorry but I just have to see for myself.   I have not personally come across any other Cherry MX switch that is better than the Blues, but I have never used an Ergoclear hence my curiosity has gotten the better of me.

It may turn out that the Blues are still the Kings in the Cherry World, but I need to try the Ergo's first.

Just remember, like all switches, ergoclears feel very different between PCB/Plate mounted.

I do know that this keyboard is a PCB mounted version ONLY, but this website (GH) has a link showing what one individual has done to improve the rigidity of his G80-1800 keyboard.  So if I wanted, I could possibly make it more sturdy for the use of Ergoclear's by following the experts here on Geekhack.

But that would be my final choice to see how the Clears would behave during usage, over a period of time.  Plus I'm not a total fan of plate mounted switches, because having a flexible PCB means the fingers have more bounce over a sentence, paragraph or manuscript, which I quite like.
