Looking at this thread makes me not regret and makes me excited to receive my Poker X that I got for $100 total with MX Red switches. I have a nice set of KBC Blank Black PBT keycaps waiting here for it with a red blank from a WASDkeyboard sampler kit to put on my keyboard. I just wish I had enough money to get an aluminum case from IMSTO cause that would complete it.

Where did you get the blank PBT caps? GB?

And I also want an alu case but they're so expensive. Basically anything I want to upgrade on my keyboard costs me $100+

I got it off of Feng's store on eBay. Pretty good price for PBT all blank black caps. I got them promptly too (US), and tried them on my FC660M. They are really solid and feel sturdier than ABS caps and better than these stock PBTs on my FC660M

Noob question here. I ordered a Poker II with Reds, but I see that some of the Pokers have different switches under the spacebar. What's up with that? Will mine be like that?

As far as I know, the Poker II ships will all the same switches. Users may have modified the spacebar switch.

Loving it so far, took me a day of typing to get used to the Fn layer and ANSI layout. Been using UK ISO all my life and decided to switch to ANSI because there it's easier to look for keycaps.

The programmable layer is also handy.

Yea, the only thing that is slightly off putting is the "Enjoy Your Feeling" on the space bar. But that can be fixed with a metal space bar.  ;D

The "awesome" keycap came as a surprise from the person I bought from. It is pretty damn awesome XD.

I tried to see if the red would pull off...NOPE. It is defiantly the plate just colored to be red. I kind of like it. Hope to get a modded case anyway eventually. The keyboard works fine, so we will just go ahead and say its a legit POKER X

small update.

used the red ABS keycap from my WASD sampler  and moved the awesome cap to the other side. Thinking of getting the LOD transparent to replace the red keycap and replacing the awesome cap with the chocobo cap and use the awesome cap as a keychain.

That looks great! Not sure about those green keys though

the green keys are intentional cause w, 1, 2 keys are my most used in gaming. Preventing shine

Here is my Poker2, I wanted an ali case but it's just too much a stretch for me, so I decided to modify the plastic case. The bottom is vinyl dyed white, I would like to paint the edge of the circuit board black too. Hope to add some leds (and keycaps!) in the future

Nice.  You could add a couple of triangles of black or white plastic to cover the sides nicely as well.

That's a great idea! I'm enjoying the ultra minimalist look at the mo, I'm thinking of maybe building a lego case around it in the future, but I'm thinking some cool illumination is required next

Oh.  Then you must install translucent triangles on the sides, and possibly a strip along the front, and then install interior LEDs underneath the PCB.

THAT would be some cool illumination!

Sounds great! I was thinking a blue strip along the front that pulses slowly. Soldering LEDs has me a little worried as I've done little soldering in my lifetime, but have this idea/plan of soldering some kind of connector to the LED sockets that allows quick swapping of LEDs when I want to change colours. I've done some initial googling and haven't found anything yet (maybe they don't exist), I've got this idea of soldering some tiny springs on the sockets or something like that anyway that will allow LEDs to be pulled out and swapped easily - if anyone has any ideas then that would be great!
