I just realised not long ago that the 7bit layout refers to the design on prf/wfd's plate.

It works exactly the same as how it would work on the filco.. the final phase of this prototyping is only anchoring on the design of the bottom layer to accommodate teensy, filco and QFR cabling issues. And yes also about the colour combinations. I'll post pictures after I'm done with work today.

cool, definitely need one for my 7bit phantom! any conservative color matte top would be fine (grey, black, brown, maybe white).

takaki, do you have pics of the inside without the keyboard mounted? I'm asking because if it fits a quickfire TKL, then it might not work for phantom because the edges of the plates are different. Stock Filco and CM plates have a small right-angle bend on the front and back, my Phantom plates are just flat. I don't think you mentioned standoffs, so mounting phantom may not work.

You should get my plates soon. It was one of the first ones I shipped out

I get what you mean, thus I am waiting for the plate to come before I actually accept orders. Basically there is a inner layer that would be big enough for the PCB to slide through but too small for the plate, thus the plate sits on that layer. Gonna test with the phantom plate to see if it fits. Thanks for shipping it out earlier

The items are in hongkong already, tomorrow should be in singapore. Everything seems to be going according to schedule.

How high is it? Is it higher than original QFR case?

The current casing height is measured at 18mm then you add the height of your keycaps. I am going to add another 10mm tall rubber feet to act as feets which is totally optional if you don't like feets.

Colour samples in my bag.. Must say that neon green + white centre with orange bottom layer reminds me of gummy burgers.

Would you be able to make the feet removable? That would sound better.

There are some good color combinations. You might need to make at least one prototype to see how the colors work all together.

Basically, the centre portion can only be either opaque black, opaque white or clear.

The top layer and bottom layer can be customized

well im definitely in for matt toxic green/opaque white/matt toxic green

Maybe even custom print some artwork (on paper) to slip between the layers. Possiblities are endless!

the local most bang for buck acrylic sheet manufacturers don't have pink and purple sheets, gonna source elsewhere.

Sure, this is just an interest check form. for me to gauge the interest of colours and get suggestion instead of just coming out with something BAM! and it is not the same as what everyone actually wants.

No problem, like i said just an IC, not the actual order form don't worry. Will post on the group buy thread eventually, the different colours will have tier levels pricing just like keycaps, trying my best to make it as affordable as possible.

I'm not going to add to your IC form since the GB is confirmed... but I am definitely buying one because I don't want to dremel a poor Plu or Filco case to fit the 7bit layout. I like the matte blue on white! All the options actually look great!

So I watched a comparison video and concluded Filco and QFR boards are made by Costar but the Filco has a few more screws in the assembly. I don't know how the attachment to this acrylic case is but is there any chance if it would fit a Ducky TKL (US ANSI) model?

Do note all the screws are screwed to the casings. wont be using those screws. the only trouble with Qfr is the removable cable port. Need to find a place for it.

I not have the ducky TKL to try. You can take a picture of the inlets meaning the top, front, side and bottom photo for an estimated gauge.
