Yeah, maybe not hypocritical, just irksome. They think their money is good enough for a clack, yet mine is not good enough for theirs.
I'm just salty.
i thought you weren't interested in clacks?
Of course I am, just not collecting them. I'd love one for my one keyboard. But anything more would feel wasteful unless I got them for their original price of <$20
Except most didn't sell at ~$20. Most have gone in the $30-50 range. They were pretty much only $20 when they first came out. And if you are patient enough, active in the community, and just try and try again, you can get one at cost or trade for one. My Hack Orange I traded for and sold for $30, my Octopink I got for just a little over retail, my Gumrot I got at retail (one from Clack, one from someone on Reddit, one of those I traded), my Hardcore White that I gave away came to me through a trade for an Octopink Toast that I was given in the Secret Santa, and so on.
Sure, some people get what seems like a million of them and some people seem to get them thrown at them, but if you just wait, you can get one at a good price.
Personally, I wish that people sold them for what they got them at instead of treating them like bonds that mature and go for twice the buy in rate. Or, at the very least, that they donated a portion of for profit sales to Clack himself and/or GH.
