I feel a lot better now knowing I didn't get in. Closure feels so amazing.

Didn't even enter, no closure needed.

...feels bad.

I wish I could say that.

I mean, just once. Just one time. Sure there are other ways to get a clack, but goddamnit. I would like to get into a goddamn 4grabs one ****ing time.

Sucks not getting in on the sale, but I guess it could be worse... the wife did get back from her business trip Friday night and spent pretty much all of our budgeted 'fun' money immediately anyway ;)

For those who entered but did not win anything, remember that some of us were not even eligible to enter.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

It's like only getting pity sex or paying for high-priced prostitutes while everyone else is finding love. That's what it feels like. ****ing sucks, man.  :'(

I feel for you. I can't imagine what it must feel like to see all these new members getting in who may or may not even stick with the hobby that you've worked so hard for. Especially after trying so many times.

On the bright side this isn't the last sale. There's always next time. Plus, with the money you saved by not getting in you could treat yourself to something else you may have wanted. The glass is always half full, man.

I wish i knew what it felt like to receive key caps directly from the man outside of 4grabs, or even a ultra rare spumoni.

alas, i guess that only goes to one person.

i feel like when winners are selected a la whoever's email clack receives first, there are factors at play grant some an inherent advantage, which is probably why winners keep winning and losers keep losing. simply selecting winners at random is a better approach.

And the F2 rich get richer :D  Other than the Eagle, another F2 is the one that would have made me the happiest, so this is a nice little present just in time for my birthday.

I've also got a cute little Forgotten Red coming in in topre... I really don't need a HHKB to put it on, right?

I either lose out our just plain miss the sales. I figure my second clack will be something extra special, rare perhaps. Until then I'll keep fighting the good fight.

Congratulations to those that made this round.

Yeah man. In saying that it makes sense that CC would start doing selective sales, it seems like a lot more people had success than in a normal 4grabs.

Yup. It's kind of a win lose situation tho. On the one hand, when you do get a chance in a sale with restrictions, your odds go up. That part is great! On the other hand, some of the really nice items in sales you are not allowed in are completely off the table for you. That part is not so great. But alas! Life's not supposed to be fair all the time. Mick Jagger said it best, "you can't always get what you want".

Thanks! To be honest, I've only wanted to own a single clack. I'm really leaning on keeping one and putting the other up in the Classifieds for trade.

Keep an eye out if you're interested ^-^

:(

this is the therapy thread after all, I'm here for all the fellow losers  :'(

Yeah even though you call us "WHACKERS" on Reddit to kiss "Ripsters" Ass. So do you really care for us fellow Geek Hackers or not man????  >:D

I care... About the users of both forms. And I wasn't kissing his or geekhacks ass, u know just lurking on both fourms may have been a better idea... I'm sorry

Are you Canadian? Hehe cause you know, sorry.
No but I used to live in Minnesota so I shared a border with them, also I bought my key caps from a Canadian so he shared his apologetic ness with me, possibly eh?

Minnesota is pretty Canadian. I have family there!
I have family up in canada now that I think about it ... THEY'RE GETTING TO ME ...

On the other hand I have Chicago to balance the apologies out

Alright thank you. Pacifist is the only other person Ive seen call us Whackers which isn't very friendly if you are a member with us here.

Minnesota rocks! Ive been up to Lake of the Woods a couple times in Canada.

Brown. More and more brown. I've wanted brown clacks for so long.
CC I'd love a chocolate moose brown, maple syrup trans brown and beaver beige.

Brown with accents in red. True canadian colors.
