Well Its one cap per person in this limited sale...

Can't wait for it because It was my first time entering sale ever on GH and I was quite bummed that I did not make it even tho I sent the email at 8PM sharp :(  Gonna cross my fingers and hope I get it this time.

Thanks man, this was my second time trying to buy, so just wanted to make sure. Hoping third time is the charm heh.

Really happy to see the switch to a raffle system. Makes more sense, and will produce less rustled jimmies I think.

Yeah I agree. The "first come first serve" makes very little sense to me. People have different internet connection. The countdown clock is not perfectly synchronized. There are people gambling by sending email earlier. I even registered an outlook email just for Brobot sale, in the hope that my email will get to BC faster. So glad we switch to raffle system. Hopefully clickclack can do something similar for 4grab sales.

I kind of liked the first come first serve email system, but thats probably because I have good internet (75/5) and I got pretty good at estimating email latency between gmail<->outlook.

I understand the appeal of fcfs, from an international perspective it feels abit hit and miss with timing emails and equating for the email lag.

I dont think anyone getting emails in a fraction quicker then others shows more dedication/support for the work bro does and a raffle system negates the dissapointment because you may have missed hitting send by half a second.

To me a raffle system is a great way to do the sales of bros work.

I for one don't think I have missed a public sale since the release of the V2's and have had my fair share of luck, and believe me it is luck when I send my email from 1-3 seconds before the timer finishes on the successful attempts.

I am not sure how bro is going to do it, but I for one feel abit better if he moves to a raffle system for at least some of his sales. Not sure what thr window for entries will be, but I am sure it will be above a fraction of a second.

Exactly. The raffle system is so much better for overseas Bro fans. The sheer amount of emails sent in every Bro sale effectively makes it a raffle system already, expect that the window of participation is a nanosecond that you have to try to approximate from overseas just as you described. I couldn't be happier about the upcoming system.

I'm for a raffle system as well. I have great internet and always send a second or two before the timer and the last two times my e-mail was sent at exactly the time, without a second off and I still didn't make it in.

I'm not complaining but it just seems that depending on people's location, with this system realistically the same people should get in every time. If their e-mail is getting through first, it is not going to change unless people start sending e-mails even earlier and that is not a solution or fair to people following the rules/directions.

P.S. If anyone is interested, I took some more shots of my BroBot I received from the pure heart of a member here:

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

^ Images no longer available?

That was odd because I was able to see them. However, I was playing with my ImgUR albums before so that might have caused it.

Can you see them now?

They are there now!

Must have been a glitch in the matrix ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Hah, k cool. Hope you guys like the shots.

The second one I edited the RAW to give a little effect to it. The color of the cap is closest to the first pic, although I did edit that one as well just to clean it up.

Now I just need more BroBots! They are so photogenic. :P

Edit: Here is the other one that wasn't showing as well:
