Getting your own home is a big deal in most western cultures I think. I don't know how it works in other parts of the world though, is it any different?

It is a big deal, but anybody in India who is spending so much on keyboards would be expected to own some property.

thanks much!

It is a lot more common to rent and not have to pay for property taxes, or if you do own land it could be rented out to a tenant.

You can rent and not ever own land and be pretty wealthy :)

I don't know why but when I see the 'own property' and 'own land' my mind instantly goes to some sort of bad pick-up line.

"Walk with me, I own property."

It's like a pick-up line for making friends at a wannabe-posh club.

Property prices in India are always on a rise, due to the large population and development, thus everyone is always looking to invest in property, in hopes of return in future, and since it is quite easy to liquidate, usually at a decent profit.

how many houses can be bought in your area for a model f?
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Nothing better than having your own place.  The trick is now to pay off the bank as soon as possible (that's if you got the moolah from them) which will save you thousands in interest on the length of that loan.

Congrats, you're nothing in this world until you start owning land and don't stop at owning just your place, go forth and buy more because the result of most billionaires in the world is through land development/ownership.  Here in Australia like anywhere else on this planet land acquisition leads to great wealth later on in life.  Better investment than anything else out there plus it secures your future  :thumb: .

Isn't that the main attitudinal behaviour to apply for women only?  Or are you saying you prefer to offer your sexual favours, to a wealthy old git?

oh, please. gender equality!

Trust me the women will win every time.  It's very rare to find a confirmed wealthy individual willing to give everything to a young man based on traditional marriage contract terms.  It's very rare or I haven't personally heard of anyone doing that just yet.  Plus the family involvement in taking the homosexual lover to court in excising control over all the property and monies concerned will eventually make everything public and embarrassing for all involved.

Still in the 21st century the wealthy upper establishment still will not recognize such marital status between same sexes despite laws being passed to approve it.  Frowned upon nearly everywhere in the Western World and strictly prohibited in the 3rd World.

Because that is the single most uniting probability for any type of relationship when it comes to anyone relinquishing their entire assets to another individual.  It's also stated under common law agreements when anything is taken into court due to any external family disputes to have a 3rd party decide the outcome.

If there was no sexual relationship the court will not decide in favour of an applicant over any other close familial arrangements.

Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Congrats on the new home Binge. I'm sure you'll add a nice touch of personal charm to it :thumb:

I've already put down an offer on the next Hawaii island.  The current landowner has not yet surfaced with an acceptance of the offer.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing
