Dorkvader, thank you for the kind words, I am honored.
Regarding what's been said above, I really don't believe MiTo or K3KC are "douchebags", "slime of ****" or "scums". I am no psychologist or shrink, however from what I understand, and please understand this is my understanding of these people, not subject to objectification of being correct or wrong.
I think MiTo was quick to go on the defensive and then become a little to aggresssive when BunnyLake tried to clear the ownership of the legends in the Pulse IC in interest of the community, which always seems to be his highest priority. MiTo got the wrong idea, and again not necessarily his fault, just the way he reacted, and I hope someone would have tried to calmly explain this to him (Some people take more explanation and time, nothing wrong with that). Then him supporting K3KC took the wrong turn, because we as a community were not happy with K3KC and his activities along with anyone that would be remotely associated with him or showed any support to him. MiTo again reacted a little rashly taking an aggressive stand and taking personal jibes at nubbinator, which might just be his natural first reaction and the way he is wired, again I would like to emphasise, there is nothing wrong with this, it just requires a little more maturity from the other side to understand this could be an involuntary reaction to being under the hammer. Things then spiraled out of control from both ends, both sides making and taking rash decisions out of anger.
Regarding K3KC, I know he produced fake clacks, but did anyone try to understand why? Beyond the common answer of, making profit? I, when I cam to this forum didn't understand the reason for the extremely high price of CCs and might have even bought keycaps from K3KC at that time, but why? Well many of us, from humble backgrounds don't have the money to buy real CCs, and would just like a cool looking "skull" (Yes the particular CC skull) on our keyboards. The issue is, I didn't understand the "art" value of the keycap, the fact that CC spent time, effort, money and a part of himself to come up with the design of the skull. This can be hard for many to see at first, and once they do, they will understand the true value. Remember when I started the ceamocaps project, i made a very ugly CC replica on acrylic? I was attacked, and that is when I understood what was wrong and the true value of CC. This realization is what K3KC is missing. I'm sure he looks at CC for the mere objects they are and not the art value. I can understand this because in India (At least from where I come from) most people measure the value of a thing from its materialistic cost only, not even the labor cost since it is so cheap here, forget intellectual and art value. And I believe anyone can fall a victim to this. When these fake CCs came to light on geekhack, we acted with hostility, understandably so, because we love our CCs. Then it became more a show of power from K3KC, and he says this himself regarding brobots, he had no initial intention but because Brobot wasn't "friendly" with him, he decided to make them anyway. With reddit, he found a group of like-minded people and he didn't realize that he was feeding off someone else's work. Maybe if we were nice and made him realise his mistake, things wouldn't have gone as far as they have.
