I'm not very familiar with alternate keyboard layouts
A Tsangan kit and a 1.75 Row 3 Control key should suffice.
I'd like to know if people with standard layouts are fine with subsidizing these alternate layouts, is it widespread enough to consider adding to the kits?
They are usually sold as separate kits, for what I've seen.
I see, will add those to the mockup as a separate kit.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions by the way, really helps a lot

I should probably consider windowed caps too... just a thought.

You should, you really should. Your renders are so realistic that keycaps feel real. I bet it's time consuming to draw those mockups but that's how you get people attention.

I would buy them. Especially if you can get them doubleshot or dye sublimated.

It is a shame this would not be GMK made, but I hope that your GB be fully successful.

I'll still be asking for quotes and MOQ from GMK if possible.

Aw, well, thank you for trying, there is still hope then.

Tsangan, ISO, stepped caps, short right shift, and maybe some others I have missed, are usually included in the default kit when MOQ is an issue.
If MOQ is not an issue, such as with SP group buys, then those kits are separate add-ons.

Looking forward to what you can do!  :thumb:

Updated the legends, I hope it's close enough as I only have copy for a 60% layout and used Helvetica Rounded for the others.

Nice, though a few things.
Your numpad is upside down.
Really no need for F5-F8 in the alphas since they are being included in the mod kit.
Pipe-Backslash should have a colored alternative (in the mod kit).
Numpad Enter usually has just text and it has no Return symbol.
Numpad plus is still center aligned. It should aligned to the left.
This is a 2D render so I assume "Sys Rq" and "Break" are gonna be printed to the side of their respective keys (PrtSc and Pause)
Pg Up and Pg Dn, shouldn't have a space, i.e. they should read "PgUp" and "PgDn".
The Winkey symbol should be also left aligned.
Some people prefer having Ctrl as legend instead of Control. You might wanna include both.
If you're going for international kits, you might want to change the numpad legends to symbols to reduce the number of total keycaps.
Maybe include a RC Control keycap?
Purple mod kit might look better with white legends.

That's it for now. Keep up the good work.

Is there another type of caps lock?

 :))

My board is build to get stepped caps lock, only. I cannot use centered stem ones.

Oh wow, I've only been using a TKL for a couple of months and I already forgot what a numpad looks like.  :))

You have a point about the F5-F8 keys, some people might like them but I think I'll just remove those.

About the "Page" keys and Win key and your other comments, I just based them off Hyperfuse's mockup here, I'll try to Google actual keyboard pics: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=68198.1750

What's an RC Control cap? Oh, and I'm not going to change legend colors, sorry... and there are already color mods that usually come with white legends.

Thank you for your help!

I guess if Vortex makes them, yeah there's a possibility, not sure about the others like GMK.

Pipe-Backslash should have a colored alternative (in the mod kit).

Should the Tilde key have a colored alternative too?

Wouldn't it be weird to have a colored pipe key but not a colored tilde key?

What's an RC Control cap?
An alternative keycap to Caps Lock, which is Row C (RC) or Row 3 in other standards, with the legend "Control". This example explains it better. Look at R3, you see Caps Lock and Control as alternative keycap.

I'm not going to change legend colors
That's fine, that was just and idea.

Should the Tilde key have a colored alternative too?
Yeah, I think so, for fullsize or TKL keyboards' simmetry.
I don't know yet if you're planning international kits, but bear in mind that the Tilde is strictly ANSI, other layouts have a different key in that place.

It's weird to have them both colored!
But, alas, some people like them and so they're usually default in custom sets.

Nor back slash neither tilde are modifiers, there is no reason to have them in both colors, having them duplicated just increased the overall cost of the set for everyone joining in.

Yes I understand, it's easier for me to render the whole thing with the alphas (I'm lazy these days). Like what has been suggested this might become a mod pack, but nothing is finalized. There really is no theme here, just a simple base set with interchangeable mods. :)

I would definitely prefer the coloured mods, as the coloured font on dark keys is a bit too much like other sets to my liking.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

In my opinion, contrast is too high.
Although "carbon" alphas would match great with the black mods with colored legends. Give it a go.
Also, on a side note, legends for the app and win keys should be left aligned as well.

Thanks, but legend alignments are confusing, most Cherry profile sets I see online have the win and app key centered.

You should definitely do the alphas and the mods as separate kits. That way some of us can buy one or two sets of alphas and like a million mods

Man some you men out here are afraid of some pink. Every color on here has been beaten to death except purple, cyan, and pink.

Let's make 2016 another creative year with the community having a larger color palette.

I'm definitely in for purple and cyan, in fact my only other vote was for red.

Have you considered gamer kits?

I definitely like the look of some of these.

I'm also curious (more in a theoretical sense) what might "Color" novelties look like? Obviously novelties aren't an option with GMK, but if you did SP DCS, it might be fun to toy around with. That said, I get this is supposed to be a simpler set, so maybe better to just not deal with that.

This meant for the GMK modifiers, no gamer kits or novelties.

The initial plan includes gamer kits, but no novelties.

I want these to be Cherry profile but not specifically by GMK, although I based the colors off their swatches. Nothing's set in stone and I'm exploring all options. :)
