ok so here's the deal with the no postmark thing.
there are two kinds of mail: bulk mail and regular postal mail. mail that is collected from your standard blue bin on the side of the road is automatically sorted and recognized by a bar code reader or some other device to be either bulk mail or regular postal mail. all postal mail goes through what's called a "canceller", which invalidates the postage on the mail by stamping over it (what we call a postmark). bulk mail skips this process, as it does not have to be checked for postage; it is pre-paid.
now as everyone knows, the usps isn't very picky and doesn't expect 100% postage on every single item that it delivers; in fact, it allows for a large amount of wiggle room. when regular postal mail gets through to its destination without a postmark, all that means is that the sorter made an error (and in fact it's probabilistically guaranteed to make a small to medium sized number of such errors) and sent regular postal mail through the bulk mail workflow, skipping the canceller.
BAM! no conspiracy. some mail gets postmarked some mail doesn't. all this means is that all of these packages were probably dropped off in roadside bins. no surprise there.

I know donations have been discussed before, but I thought about this the other day. I recently made a donation to GH, and noticed that it defaults to add an address (since it must be charging as something like goods/services versus gift where you don't need an address). Your typing screams foreigner. Many of the keycaps have been shipped to the US. You can't ship international without a return address. None of the packages have had a return address. See, it would be believable if a lot of the packages were inside Europe or any of the Asian countries but very few have gotten them (well I take that back, there have been Koreans that received these but still within Korea).

The other option on the no-postmark thing is that you went to a rural office and dropped it. They don't have the machine and no process to postmark before it gets to central redistribution. They mark it with a pen.I remember mkawa pointing out how it could happen, but it was all about bulk mailings, and the machine skipping an envelope. I don't remember discussing either of the two other ways here (though the USPS employee one was bought up, I don't think they said anything about them dropping it in the mail after postmarking). Also, the picture of my envelope didn't appear online until now.
