GMK Grìseann 2

It's coming back. This time around with R5 bottom row and extended support for most of the modern layouts.

I love WoB and I love sublegends (who doesn't?). This set already became a classics.
I stay true to original with the colors, style of mods and purse caps lock as well as sublegends being UV printed not doubleshotted -- color is what makes it pop to me among the other sets. And of course being a classic set, it deserves R5 bottom row. ZF granted me a permission to make second run and they will be one of the proxies for this round too.

F13, split bars and second B not in base?
There is a lot of things I wanted to add in base as well as do something good for the community (the same way I did an icon mods addon when running WoB Red Cyrillic). But unlike WoB Red Cyrillic, I wanted this set to be less self-contained and offer compat for earlier rounds of WoBs and current one that on Drop. You can think about extentions kit as missing keys for other WoBs. Extentions includes support for single and double XT row with R4 and R5 compat (and yes, it's stays "PF" as "Programmable function" not "M" -- because it makes more sense in my head this way), split bars support, 6u centered spacebar, F13, another B, windowed keys and various other keys. If you have a suggestions on what else to add to this kit, please let me know in the feedback form below.

Changes
All of the legends placement now follows the official US-International layout.

In detals
  • ², ³, €, ¥, «, » glyphs now following legend order how it's in the layout itself (Alt Gr + 2 gives ² →  legend takes first order (bottom left), Alt Gr + Shift + 1 gives ¹ →  legend takes second order (top left), same rule applied to the rest). I get why it's done how it's done -- to keep the logic of same group of sings in one row but still think the proper placement is more important.
  • since | and ¦ are different legends in unicode and they both present in the layout, I decided to kept both applying the same rule as above, ¬ repositioned according to rules (fist sublegend with Alt Gr activated goes to bottom left)
  • xbox delete bsublegend is gone, there is no place for it and it would ruin the logic on mods if I'll try to put it as a front print xbox backspace sub exists on alternative pipe

Rest of the changes
  • ¨ legend was outdated and got replaced, same goes for Ç (props to Lightning)
  • Control and Lock sublegends on the Caps Lock and Control buttons repositioned -- it's just stylistic desidion, I think it looks better this way
  • "Num" + front print "lock" now just "Num Lock", same for "Scroll" + front print "Lock"
  • UK-ISO front print
  • full "page up" and "page down" instead of their shorter variants

I would either replace <> with another backslash-pipe key (to match the Windows implementation) or front-print backslash and pipe there (since that is it’s UK location).

Similarly, #~ would go on the front of all other backslash pipe keys.

Another consideration: the Mac symbols don’t actually make a ton of sense in this setup, as Apple has a different implementation of US International than what is used by Windows and Unix. I would frankly just ditch the command symbols and option legends.

The circle on top of Å on the W-key is too thin in the render. If new molds are made for this key, please make sure that the circle has the correct thickness.

I'd add the UK R4 [|\] front print on the R4 [><] key to match everything else.

I like the Mac mods, personally. Would work nice on my HHKBs too.

Submitted IC form, but echoing here: Cherry Enter+Escape novelties in either white or the sublegend colors would be cool to see. If they don't add much to the cost of the extension kit, it could really add value.

qualitywise they are about equal in my experience, same with SP. personally i'd rather have the JTK because it's tripleshot instead of pad print, but that's just preference

i think GMK griseann is one of the most in demand reruns of all time, and i like the updated legends

How is GMK much better than JTK? Most if not all issues that are happening with JTK are happening with GMK as well. Misaligned letters(check the 'Z' key), thickness issues(check skinny '?'), sometimes warped spacebars. And to their list of issues they recently added not properly sized 3u spacebars and different textured keys in the same set. So, I think they both have advantages over each other, rather than one being way better than another. Triple shot and price(though recent JTK prices are also not super cheap, they came with a pretty big layout support) are also big plus.

Thanks everyone for feedback. I want to address most common requests so far.

R4 bottom row
One of my reasoning why I wanted to do Red Cyrillic and Griseann R5 is because R4 is avaiable on regular Drop and it's not hard to get. R5 rather tough to find and will cost a lot as separate kit. Though I'm doing the set with the community and would appreciate the feedback on it. So I setup a survey: https://forms.gle/LdzwiZFrRReSLdhf9. If you care about it, please choose one of the options.

40s support & 1u spacebar key
3 keys for 40s support will be added to extension kit as well as 1u spacebar

Non-purse caps lock & xbox backspace
I really want to keep purse caps, it fit subleged on it better than regular caps icon. Regarding of xbox backspace: it was a tough desidion but I prefer to stick to layout when we talking about bringing back the icon as sublegend on the pipe. As dedecated 1.5u it really looks not ok.

R4 backslash/pipe
Will be added as sublegends.

Ç symbol
Please note that on the renders it's not the proper size or either 100% accurate because it's traced. Please check GMK Greek Beige how it's gonna look irl. Fix for the renders pending.

Mac/HHKB symbols
Still thinking on what to do with them. Originally I thought it would be nice addition more as a novelties rather than to pair with Mac US-Int layout. Prob will be removed.

I'm very confused in regards to the kitting decisions here. The 3 key wasn't added to base, the spacebars are part of a massive extension kit that most people won't use 10% of. I'm just curious as to how this is the most efficient way of doing things, unless you're being strongarmed by your vendors to cut down on kitting. While I appreciate the addition of some 40s friendly keys, still having to pay for all available kits kinda ruins that for me personally.
