Got a Leopold FC660C with dye sublimated keycaps! Enjoying the board so far, but the switches are very different from the cherry blues I'm used to. Plus it's my first experience with a tenkeyless board. It's so tiny next to my Das Keyboard.

Show Image

Are those caps available separetely? I'd love to replace my stock 660C caps with these!

Qtan only sells the dye sub MX version...

I don't think they're available separately. EliteKeyboards is where I got mine from, and there you can only get them on the keyboard.

But what did I receive in the mail today, you ask? Why, a cable from Zeal to complement my new Leopold!  :D

Awww, would've been cool if you could get it working in some capacity. Jwaz was saying he has the computer that went with his Omnikey and he's going to be bringing it to Keycon. I'm pretty hyped for that.

Aye, this. Sounds like the bios settings may be corrupted from knackered battery, and a replacement battery and resetting the bios to default could clear it up. Sometimes it was a switch or jumper on the board to reset it. You getting the American Megatrends up suggests most the hardware is at least functional, although memory and disks may still be useless.

Thanks dude! A lot of the keys near the middle of the board are making a whistling noise, although I think it's already decreasing after just a few hours of typing. Does yours do this, and did it improve over time?

My board does do this unfortunately. It is becoming less noticeable, though. If it doesn't go away I'll just open up the board and apply a little more lube to those sliders.

That seems common with completely new Type-S boards. Glad I bought mine second hand... Mine is 5 months old and doesn't make that sound. It should go away after you've used it for a while, though.

I think I can see the faint cherries imprinted on top of the switches. Not sure why would dare to think that they would be Kailhs.
Although putting Kailh switches on a KMAC would be funny. But only for a split second, then it's just insulting.  :p
