My GHPad PCB arrived in the mail today. I had Thechemist do the SMD solder work, since that is what was holding me up, and he did an outstanding job. His work was fast, clean and excellent, I can't recommend his services enough. Fantastic work!

The sod123 diodes were the wrong size, but Thechemist had a workaround so that it wasn’t an issue. He even flashed the board for me! Can't wait to build up this board this weekend.

I got some 62g gold springs from Calavera and I have to say that they feel way better than the mix of 60g/65g/67g springs. It feels a lot more crisp and satisfying with these springs. And the placebo effect of them being gold makes me feel tingly. Thanks Calavera!!

I didn't believe my eyes when I received this today. Super fast shipping!

And I feel like I've come a full circle. When I joined GH almost a year ago, my avatar was this:

I didn't even know what is a clack then.

Today, I received a Buckling Spring clack!! Wow.

Unbelievable. It's really nice. I love the red shade.

P.s. can the stem be pulled off? It feels kinda stuck.

Edit: grammar..

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Trying out 65g blues for now.  I'm liking the ability to turn the right mods+shift into dedicated arrow keys.

Congrats, that is one sexy set. I kind of want one just because it goes so well with my Royal Typewriter set.  It's honestly one of the few dead sexy dyesub sets out there.  Most are sexy, but few are drop dead and stare sexy.  Must have taken a lot of looking.
