I got my wrist rest from Beast that I luckily won on his giveway!

Sadly, my potato camera is dead at the moment. Gonna try to take a picture as soon as I can, but I must say that it's very very nice to type with it, and looking good too  ;D

Thx Beast!  :thumb:

Depends on where the cable is plugged ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Not exactly in the mail...

I got a pressure pot from Craigslist last week, and I've been searching local listings for a air compressor as well.  So today I went by to view a small Devilbiss air compressor, and it turned out the guy was moving, and selling all his shop tools.  So in addition to the compressor, I got a Ryobi bench drill press, a scroll saw, bench grinder with two different grit wheels, a vibrating tumbler for polishing metal parts, a bench belt sander/end sander, and a vacuum pump.  Wish I'd found this deal before I ordered a new vacuum pump.

Oh, and a small capacity electric furnace rated to 3000 Fahrenheit.  No idea what I'm going to do with half this stuff, but I'm sure something will present itself.

When I was leaving, he pointed to the pile of office furniture on the other side of the garage and said I could have all of that as well, for an extra $50.  I figure it shouldn't take me more than two more trips to move it all...   :p

He asked what I was going to use all the equipment for, and I told him I was interested in casting small plastic parts for keyboards.  He then gave me a two pint kit of mold-making latex and some casting foam.  Christmas in August.

So jealous of that furnace and that crazy awesome deal.  I could have so much fun with it.  You may even be able to do some interesting things with glass with it.

I couldn't say no to another Dolch keyboard...deal was too good to pass up (again). There is some serious yellowing but I'll see if I can change that later. Funny thing, I asked them to just send the keyboard but they end up sending the whole Dolch Pac 64!  ^-^

That's a really nice keyboard, you're definitely starting out on a high note!  I may be a bit biased, as my second mechanical keyboard was (and is) a CM Trigger with MX Greens.

Thanks!  Sometimes the garage sale lottery pays off!   :p

I had thought the price quoted in the ad was for the air compressor alone, it turned out it was for the whole batch of tools.  Now I need to find some workbenches, I don't have space for half the stuff I brought home.

Lucky.  The most space I can clear at any time in my house is about 2'x2' and I have to stack all my tools on top of each other in a closet.

For any Americans/others that would otherwise google it, that's General Certificate of Secondary Education.  I have no idea what it means though and I can't be bothered to read about it, so read the wiki page if you're curious.

I read enough to see that it's for age 14-16.  So no college for him yet, I think.  Right?  Photekq, fill us in.  Enough secrets.
