YUSSSSS!!!! ONE OF US, BRO. Just give it time. Type on it for about a week. I also thought they were slightly too stiff when I first got them, and almost sold them... well, as you probably know by now, I'm a HUGE 55g advocate. Just let your fingers get used to it and the domes to soften up. Once you get used to them, you'll realize that the only stiffer part is the top initial peak force. Once the cup caves in though, it's not much different from 45g.

Next thing you'll know, you'll either have found your new favorite keyboard, or you'll be modding your HHKB into 55g. Heck, maybe both?!

Thanks for the great tip, Vespbro!  So far it's not too tiring to type on, and I do love the feel of it.  I'm going to use this board for work, so I think it'll be fine since I don't type continuously (type a couple of lines of code here and there, send out emails, post to GH, etc).  It might be a problem if I used it for gaming as SpecTP mentioned in another thread.

YESSSSSSSSS!
oneness with cup rubber

Hehe, thanks for your support. :)  And I do love the feel of Topre.

Nice naasfu!! Now show us your Topre Clacks on it. I hope the keyboard have enough keys to host them :p

We have seen a HHKB full of Clacks but I don't think we have seen a RF full of Clacks. Ha ha!

Haha, I did put a couple of Clacks on it, and it looks great!  I'm debating which CCs to use with this board at work, though.  I'm near a window so I'm deathly afraid of discoloration due to sunlight.  Maybe I'll just bring one Depth Black and see what happens.

Nice rubber dome!

Hush, you. :))  And poo, poo on your shoe.
a cute stray cat combination that comes out happily when you look at your face is cute

WANTED: gib clacks        post your mspaints!        post your rubber domes!

Full motion TV mount, 14 gauge speaker wire, and some Nakamichi speaker banana plugs.

Going to be a busy weekend setting up the home theater system.

My first RF board. :)  87U 55g.  The switches feel good but are quite heavy.  Hopefully my weakling fingers can handle them, haha.

It's a great build, jd. I have a feeling I will like it. I'm more of a tactile switch kind of guy, but I wanted to try out a "proper" linear setup.  I can't wait to get a keycap set on this puppy and take it for a spin. Will post pictures soon! :thumb:

The best solution for translucent caps & the GH way is get another keyboard with top mounted led's like some Ducky's or other (upside-down switch) mount lighted boards are.
