I'm really surprised mine didn't show up already, I expected them today. I blame USPS.

Thanks :) I am debating if it is worth getting a new set from Unicomp for the other two if I end up selling them, not sure if the increase in value would cover the cost of the caps.
The other thing being that the one in best condition is the '88 version, which has slightly different caps to the other two in terms of legend clarity etc. Would prefer to keep the '88 caps with the '88 board, etc.

The unicomp caps print quality isn't as good a quality as the ibm ones (but I would still like a 'red alert' pebble and pearl Model M :D)

I also have an 1988 Model M that has lighter legends than the two 1990 Model M's I have.  Not sure what's going on there..  It's missing a left arrow key, and it's hard work finding a replacement one with the lighter legend :(
Freebird WKL (Blacks Clear-Tops), iKBC F-104 (Blacks) and more!

Including that one? Huehue

I ordered a Ducky Mini YOTH with MX White on Friday and it arrived today. With MX Greens. And it was ISO not ANSI... Which is annoying as I now have to keep looking for a Cherry Replica ISO kit...
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I'm still learning as well. I seem to have some problems on getting the proper settings to take in action shots since mine seems to keep taking blured images which I don't get why since I'm sure I have the settings correctly. Its a nice cam tho.

@tbc  I have the exact same macro lens and I think it is very versatile + love how you can pretty much be touching the object for close up shots.

Not really in the mail because I picked it from a salvation army around the corner from my work.

I bought it for $2 and it has black alps and pretty much an ansii layout. I have not seen too many alps boards with an ansii layout, so I am happy about the keycaps if nothing else.

How did I do?  I don't know much about black alps.

This layout is much too big for my liking.  I would probably build a custom plate for this (once my tool is finished) and do something closer to this layout with the keycaps.  I will just have to use the nubbed '5' key for my Fn key, otherwise I have all the keys I need from this board...

Would you ever consider producing that board in alps? It looks like a great layout.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

It is just a modified 75% ANSII layout.  Once my plate building tool is ready for prime time anyone will be able to build whatever layout they want and just download the plate and sandwich case drawings to take to any laser cutter to get cut.  I have no interest in running a GB for this sort of thing because my life is already crazy enough without trying to take on something like that.  :P

I'm excited to try the tool. So far the only plates I've made were done by cannibalizing phantom cad stuff.
