There were three packages on my doorstep this afternoon -- some pent up residue from the holiday rush, I suppose. They contained some items from eBay. A Dell AT101W, Focus 2001, and a vintage NEC Multispeed "laptop". I got these in order to harvest keycaps for my new V60 Matias keyboards. The capless keyboards will go to a local computer shop for switches and other parts. I'm not sure about using the NEC caps; they are for NEC's own switches. The caps fit the Matias switches, but the caps sit very high up compared to Alps/Matias keycaps. In any event, the NEC caps are nice doubleshots. The stabilizer wires are the thickest I have ever seen on any keyboard.

Sorry for being a noob, but what is the switch tester actually used for?
Checking the actuation points or something like that?

Taking account exchange rates, around $180 shipped. Thought it was a safe bet since getting one shipped from outside of Korea would cost a fortune. Its bigger and heavier than I expected... (thats what she s...)

How is it? I was thinking about getting one when it was on Kickstarter.

Smaller than expected, but very well made. Came in a little box with serial number and was also in a little sack (like the one some clickclacks came in, only smaller).

But it needs a very very flat surface, like glass, to spin over a longer time and also needs a bit of practice to get long spinning times.

to be honest, I don't know why I bought it... it looked cool and it was already late at day... so...  :))

It did look cool which is why I was contemplating to get one or not, thought it be fun to fiddle with on my mouse pad.
I wander if it can spin on a flat keycap, that would be awesome.
