Nice! Saw the original post a little late; to none more deserving.

Glad to say I don't regret the decision I made long ago :thumb:

Do you make those anymore, maybe on commission? always thought they were purty...

I made some from empty casings and gave a few away as presents but haven't found a good way to make them inexpensively yet; fun to mess around with though.

I sure can.  They were always fun to make, but I think people just wanted them cheaper than I could afford to make them for (as in $15 shipped or less), so I stopped doing them.

I know brass is stupid expensive now, but I bet you I could help you make them pretty damn affordably.  I'd have to see how you were securing the wire inside, but I bet I could help you out if you wanted it.

*blush* aww thanks for the kind words!

Well if one by chance just happens to shows up in the mail, be sure to stroke your beard while drinking a beer and thinking "'Murica!" and we'll call it even ;)

Pretty much the reason I haven't done much with these, I didn't think I could make them at a decent/attractive price when you can get a milled aluminum one for $8.50, and I wanted to spend my money on keycaps instead - but I'd definitely love any help you could offer!

I need this for reasons.

Do you have access to any .50 BMG brass?

I'd be happy to make some & send 'em your way! My state sucks for firearms so I haven't come across .50 BMG but I'll look into what's available. These are 7.62 x 54R (Mosin Nagant, mil surplus) and there are a just couple of 12 gauge shotgun versions I've made floating around out there

That would be awesome! I actually own two Mosins, a 91/30 and an M44. :)

Nice! Mine's a 91/30, '35 Tula - nothing special but damn good fun and a hell of a bargain! I'll shoot you a PM once I've got something to send your way.
