And some multi-coloured things:

The magenta Fn keys actually look more like a really nice shade of pink :)  And I have already lost one set of RGB power buttons to my 6yo.

Ohh sweet

Got some new tools, MKC steel keycap puller, blank red anodized aluminum key and 37 printed Zinc keycaps. Unlike R1, these R2 keycaps fit perfectly, not too tight like the previous round.

Apparently that station is a clone of the Hakko 936 I have. If it is, you should be fine. My station is amazing. Let me know how you like that Soldapult.

Yeah, the Yihua is no Hakko, but from what I've seen, it's probably 80% as good. And at only $15 ($30 shipped), it's an easy point of entry. I recommended it to him over the Weller WLC-100, because the Weller has no real temp setting, only a 1-5 variable control.

Dubs, did you get those 1.6mm chisel tips yet?

Sort of regret not getting one of those sensors from Kickstarter. Those projects look interesting. I am assuming that those are meant for a custom trackball?

The ball that comes in the Microsoft Trackball Optical has a mosaic pattern below a thin clear layer. That layer will likely confuse the new laser sensor module, thus I have gotten 1x 316 stainless steel, 1x 52100 chrome steel, and 3x epoxy resin trackball balls as alternatives.

You will be able to get a sensor in a few months after the first 2 batches are shipped.

Could be an older design, as I got mine used from someone older.  But perhaps some placement of logos will help.

PLU-87 from TheProfosist which is going to be parted for my Phantom build:

PLU-87 Unboxed by cpkey, on Flickr

I ordered a small supply of vintage MX-Black switches and springs from WhiskyTango on GeekHack. Unfortunately, USPS failed to deliver the package, even though it had tracking enabled. I figured that they were lost to the postal gremlins and that I would have to order them again some time in the future. WhiskyTango had other ideas. Without asking, he volunteered to replace my order the next time he salvaged vintage MX-Black switches -- free of charge. More details can be found here.

Thank you WhiskyTango!

Pure PCB and 100 each 2x3x4mm water clear blue and white LEDs:

I'm not at all happy with how tinlong packed the PCB (a sheet of paper wrapped around it loose in a box...exactly what you see in the pic),  but as long as it works, I can't be too upset I suppose.  Still, it's annoying, especially since there's also some copper oxidation on parts of the PCB.

Now the question is, which LEDs do I do, white, blue, pink, or some combo of the above?  Maybe white alphas and pink mods?

I would get orange LEDs and do pink + orange!  I definitely wouldn't mix pink with blue LEDs if it were my board.  Either white/blue or white/pink.  Unless the blue is more like Ducky blue--with an ultraviolet shade to it.
