omg so jelly
I know, right?
Its the rarest 1800's to find and its the BLACK version which i haven't even been able to find pictures of elsewhere.
Plus, there is no shine on the caps, already sent a message to Bunny to see if I can buy a += keycap from the JTK first run as a replacement.
I found a Focus FK-9000 the same day and pulled a G80-1600HAU from the same place before Christmas as well as a bunch of rarer alps keyboards like a Texas Instruments branded Acer KB-101A and an SGI Granite PS2 as well as some not-so-rare mech keyboards. I prefer a PCB + Plate mounted feel and don't generally care for MX clears, but these feel so much nicer than another MX clear board I have (pok3r). If this is what Zealios feel like, I finally get it.
What is this place you keep finding these boards :O
Fred's warehouse of fun, which was up for the picking for Dallas Makerspace members on certain days. I have pulled Tons of Techflex, Shrinktube, Mil-spec SPC Teflon wire, a Tektronix Logic Analyzer (still working, with PODs, and even found the matching MX black Tektronix keyboard for it today which is really pretty), Power Conditioners, and even a few Variable Power supplies.
Tons of other stuff I haven't yet posted anywhere. However, I have given away many to friends and family with no mech keyboards (Mostly Del At-101/w's I put new ALPs keycaps on from the MD GB). I have picked over everything that looked salvegable though, but there are some old WYSE terminal boards still left in the joint with vintage MX blacks as well as a rubber-dome Model M which is in good shape. Some keyboards, especially the XT ones, will likely be given to other members of the Vintage Computer Club who are in need (bunch of cool old funky layouts).
Its mostly been Clean, Fix, Test mode lately with many of them. Even got an Alps 1800-style board with Trackpad out of there which is also going to a friend who does CAD and needs the numpad, but looking for a compact.
