Th ErgoDox doesn't have any keys the form factor of a spacebar (read excruciatingly long). So a 2u key would be rempped to space.

Spacebar still has to die, no two ways about it.

Super + F = firefox
Super + T = terminal
Super + M = thunderbird
Super + Q = close program
Super + Arrows = change focus

such a useful key.

Enter on ISO layouts.

It is too big, and obstructs where backslash should be, causing backspace to be too small.

I've got to go with insert also, I used to work with a guy that removed his insert keycap at work.

Following that, I've never understood why "\"  and "/" are split and not right next to each other.  We pair every other symbol, but not those two, that would make too much sense.

Gonna pull this one back up.  I see the logic here because the rest of the paired symbols are typically used as an open and close where / and \ aren't.

Sure, but, logically, it makes more sense to pair like symbols.  To me, it would make more sense to have an ?| key and an /\  key or / and \ on different keys near each other.  I mean, you have - and _ on the same key, ' and " on the same key, and ; and : on the same key, so why not / and \.

I remap my caps lock so it doesn't bother me anymore. My least favorite key are the Win keys, and the right alt not being an AltGr by default.

Caps Lock and to a lesser extent the Windows key. I use Win+L to lock my computer at work though, but at home it's nothing but a pain.

I think pretty much the only key that sometimes annoys me is the caps lock. It is not that often that I accidentally hit it, but when I do , it always annoys me.

Though I have to say my least favourite key is probably "insert".  Like most people said it causes more issues compare to most other "useless keys" also it's located in such a crucial location on keyboard.

Like they could've put a better key in that spot.  Otherwise I never use pause/break but at least I understand the importance for programmers on that key.

If you are typing quickly or playing a game, it will stop typing/playing and give you the start menu.  Similar to caps lock or insert, you usually need to stop what you are doing and redo some work.  Also, for a key that can dump you from a program, it is in a very poor spot near a lot of keys which are very frequently used.

I think that when Windows was originally made, they were smart to make Ctrl-Alt-Del and Alt-Tab into multi-key combos.  The idea of one key in the primary typing space leaving a program is nonsensical.

Easily the Caps Lock key. I'm an MMO player that is heavily into pvp. Pretty much every button I use has a shift and control modifier; and the Caps Lock always gets in the way. Also, I like my left pinky to rest when not in use and having a cavity there (yes, I remove the key cap since I never use it) helps me out a lot.

I could ***** about placement of some keys on ISO, TypeMatrix etc., but I won't. I really hate some layouts though. For example, too small ISO Enter—International Apple Aluminium keyboard, I'm looking at YOU!—or AltGr moved too far to the right, mostly because of no Menu key (which I actually use quite often, if I have it): this is the case of MS SideWinder X4/X6. BTW why there isn't AltGr on both sides of spacebar...?

In general, I hate Caps Lock. Its overuse is annoying on the internets.

I don't really have a least favorite, but there is something that irks me. I hate it when a keyboard has a | printed on the keycap instead of an ¦, and yet I think I use | more often... There is a huge controversy over broken bar vs vertical bar vs pipe... Keyboards output one or the other, but operating systems and programs often change one to the other for consistency...

For me.. Insert, as mentioned, it causes all sorts of damage.
For other people I despise their caps lock.

I disable insert, change caps lock into a shift, and while games run, the Win key becomes a ctrl key. Problems solved.

A tie between Caps Lock and Insert.

I have a few older boards without caps lock that I used a lot growing up so I end up hitting caps lock a lot when trying to Control (which is in place of caps lock on those boards).

My hatred of Insert actually comes from my laptop, which has a double sized Delete key so when I am at my desktop or any other full sized keyboards I end up striking insert instead.

I would probably hate the Windows key if more of my boards had one.

Although I don't have any least favorite key per se, I would say the Backspace annoys me.
A little bit because it makes me realize I've been making mistakes. But the real reason it annoys me is because my keyboard at work sucks and I end up making mistakes more often than at home.
