If anyone finds a reddit post complaining about aftermarket markup of brocaps, just remind them that they wanted FEWER limitations on who could buy a brocap.
You're not wrong ... but do you really believe that this kind of stuff wouldn't happen if the post requirement was 100 instead of 50?
it sucks but sadly i don't think there is a way to completely stop these kind of things.

Of course not. But as you increase the post count requirement, you're more likely to have a higher percentage of people who actually want the caps to use and not simply to flip them the second they land in their mailboxes. Personally I felt that bro backing down from his higher requirement was basically like admitting a small defeat.

i dunno ... 50 is way more reasonable for newcomers. but you're right, it does make it more likely. i guess at the end of the day all we can do as a community is to discourage this kind of behaviour.

Yeah, that's it. There were around 20 blank esc keys. Orange, green, purple, yellow, trans orange, and trans yellow. There might have been one blue as well. I don't remember for sure. I know the other 5 colors are correct.

Bro posted it in the sale announcement thread and told people to spam him 3 caps with name, address, and PayPal address. I saw it maybe 10-15 minutes after it went up and then it was all gone again.

Cool cool. Thanks. I thought I was going mad, unable to find any trace of this mystery sale. I even checked the mod log and that didn't show any activity.

Waiting for a PayPal invoice on a MX board just to keep all my MX Bros happy. That being said, I have a trade offer of a Topre V2 for one of my Lycan (I reeeeeaaaaaally want a V2). Are the V2's thinner than the Lycans on the bottom?

Also, Bro mentioned something about SLS sale winners being invoiced, what was that about?

I remember my Stump was like that but it had a bit of residue i just took out and then forced it a bit.
Yea, i'll message him. I tried flipping it around but it still wont go in even a little.

Edit: just for reference, i used a blue switch and a black switch. Neither worked.

I also sent Bro a photos showing the physical difference between the 2spooky (didn't fit) and my Hallowed (fit), but in the end I fixed it with spare MX switches alone.

My 2spooky literally didn't fit at first either (not even the tip would go in), but with enough force the Blue MX stem went halfway in. After that, I forced it even more and it snapped in real hard. At first, I thought I broke something but it was the stem going in. After, I thrusted in and out for a few times with the Blue, I then went to Clear stems (largest/tightest fit of the MX stems), and repeated.

It fits perfectly snug on even a Clear stem now with no problem.

Seems to be working. Still pretty impossible to get off once i get it on, but i hear it snap into place and at least it goes on the switch now. Thanks  :thumb:

Just try it. It's hard to get off at first though, just so you are prepared.
If you choose to do it and somehow damage your board and need a switch to be replaced, I'll go ahead and do it for free. Dont worry about it :)
If not, just go ahead and contact Bro and maybe he'll be able to swap/repair that one :thumb:

My Cherokees are a bit tight, the trans one especially.

I might have to give this a try!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I'll put a different spin on it! I have always wanted to get a bbv2. reaper, or stump. Very rarely do Bro caps trade for anything else besides other Bros so getting my first set of Bros for the Monster Mash sale was a step in that direction or a foot in the door, if you will.

Have no idea what the problem is:
Reddit sells for higher than market? Complaints.
Reddit try to trade it to not profit? Complaints.

Whatever.

Regarding caps not fitting; same here.  My Toothache Grumpkin (MX) isn't fitting either.  Tried scrapping exess resin out of the stem, tried pushing hard, nothing.  Going to try getting a small file later and see if that works.

I haven't seen anyone mention Lycan not fitting, unless I missed it. The only "MX" board I have right now has Kailh Reds (it was a cheap tester board) until my Varmilo with Gateron Browns comes in. Can anyone confirm or deny whether or not they're tight? They're actually loose on the Kailh switches, but I have no idea what the manufacturing tolerances are like on those switches.

Tootache grumpkin (trans) is not fitting right. Reaglar grumpkin fits fine. Zombro is loose. Loose problem is easy to fix though (with tape).

As for the tootache, still unsure of what I should do. Don't want to break a switch.

The stem on my Lycan fits just fine on all the switches I've tried. However I just realized that it does work properly when the keycap is in a reversed position - i.e. with the LED position facing upwards. The slope of the inside of the cap hits the slope of the top shell and prevents it from bottoming out. It still actuates but misses the bottom by over a millimeter. Means I can't use it properly on my Shine 3 or my B.87R :(

You'd put the Lycan on a key you use frequently?

I put my artisans on my top row but I use at least half of them throughout the day.

What I noticed about mine is that the slider doesn't go all the way down to the base of the switch.

It seems as though the stem of the Lycan is shorter then normal.
I've gotten the stem of a blue switch and it fit's entirely in the Lycan stem, but when I try to put it on a switch on a keyboard, it won't go all the way down.

So with that being said, it feels a bit loose to me

That is what I experienced as well, but I just chalked it up to the Kailh switches.

Yeah, on most switches for if I press down and let it go a certain way, it launches

I mean they still hold on for me, It's not like they are just falling off if i put my keyboard upside down. They just feel loose in term of how they hold up when i press the key down.

In the end it doesnt bother me since i'm not typing with a Lycan as an alpha key. It'll go on my Esc or F-row so it's not that big of a deal.

It wasn't bothering me at fist but the topre stems on all the caps are very loose. Clicking on a key makes them pop off flying to my table. Anyone else having issues with loose stems
