This is my first post, spending over an hour reading this thread motivated me to write.

No one in this thread seems to respect copyright.

Any obfuscation of that fact is absurd. "It's a moral issue" lol

The only relevant argument I've heard for not buying the fake clacks is "You wouldn't pirate an album your friend just released"

Which is relevant only if you have a connection to the creator.

I just don't understand all this fuss. If kecap makers want to make more money they need to produce more or sell them for more money. Complaining about copyright infringement when you're in spirit doing the same thing, and have no capital to pursue those claims. It just doesn't make any sense.

It's anti consumer. And most of us are consumers. Why would I not support some one flooding the market with from a layman's perspective basically identical product line.

People talk about sales in threads, I seem them all the time in the forum. I can't imagine why counterfeits at a lower price which aren't a pain in the ass to get would sell well.......

CC makes what he can, just because someone else *can* make his designs doesn't mean we want them. The beauty of CC's work is in the details, apart from Bro Caps I've never seen any other artisan caps that looks as clean as a Clack. They've all got some minor imperfection, ****ty color choice etc that puts me off and that INCLUDES K3KC's knock offs.

ehh I'd put CC at least third in keycap quality because you can still see how some designs are fairly rough and not as polished. I think tied for 1st/2nd is the Brocaps and Hotkeys. Both deliver top notch products that every crease, curve and corner is very crisp and defined.

I would say that CC's designs look like they do on purpose not due to any lack of refinement.

well, I wouldn't sign this. HotKeys Project also does astonishing work on his caps! (I prefer his more than Clacks or Bros since they seem more professional to me. (also, moving parts, how cool is that?))

People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Before drawing conclusions about things based on an image posted on the internet, I think we should all read this wikipedia page.

Like I said to JD in skype. If he would've come up with a single intelligent argument, I would have considered letting him stay. He obviously doesn't know anything about history if he's calling someone both a pirate and Nazi, and berating other members (repeatedly...let's face it, we all take a shot at one another now and again) is unnecessary and not indicative of anyone with an education. He can go back to Tumblr and drown his sorrows in ****ty gifs and sjw posts.

I liked it when he tried to dodge my questions.
