Moz is trying to outdo me?? Pfft
Yeah, the game is on bro, I'll be travelling over 8000KM to meet my fellow keyboardbros!
Quick estimate of my trips shows I've traveled about 11000KM to visit GeekHackers this year. Please get on my level
Last year
I traveled a little and visited tons of GeekHackers. But something was off last year….something…confining. You see, I’ve become much like many classifieds ads:
“WHY CONUS ONLY?!?!?!???”
I’m tired of the contiguous United States/Lower 48. So I’m taking my show international. At the end of February/beginning of March this year, I’m going to be in San Francisco and Hong Kong. Let’s hang out.
The details of my trip aren’t all planned out yet so I’ll be adding updates as I figure things out. But so far I do know that I’m stopping in San Francisco for about a day for a layover. I’ll be in town 2/27 and 2/28. I’m probably meeting up with Input Nirvana, jwaz, and Hashbaz. Hopefully I can hang out with Haata as well. Anyways, I'd like to get some people together to eat.
Does anyone in the Bay Area want to do a GH meetup dinner on 2/28?People who've said they'd show up:- nuclearsandwich
- Input Nirvana
- jwaz
- Hashbaz
- codyeatworld
- gh_pp
Then after, I’ll be in Hong Kong for a while. Details are still a bit fuzzy but are there any GHers from Hong Kong who might be interested in chilling? Grab some milk tea and talk keyboards?
Looking like I might be going to Tokyo as well. No more Japan, the timing isn't going to work out.
As I said, as my plans firm up, I’ll put some updates here. But for now, I’m trying to give some heads up and gauge interest. Let me know what’s up.
Oh and I forgot, anyone know where to get keyboards in Hong Kong? I've found
Keyboard Hell,
MegaBeef's guide to HK keyboard buying, and
Ripster's guide to keyboard buying in HK.
I also found a few more places in the reddit buying guide not covered by by MegaBeef:
