Do you people always keep your desks this clean or do you clear them off for the photo shoot?  I kind of want to post pictures of my desk just to add some clutter to this thread.  :p

A clear desk is a clear mind. Now that I have a Poker my mind is 40% more clear.

And an empty desk is an empty mind?

I think it is always messy and they clear it up for posting only, if they say otherwise, they be lying.

What is that red mousepad? It looks amazing.
It's an Artisan pad but I can't tell which one exactly.
They make great pads but are rather expensive.

The Hein is the only control pad that comes in red, or 'wine.'

The M and the desk spent most of their lives apart but they were quite happy together once they met.

The rain knocked a bunch of flowers off a neighbor's bush. I gathered them from the sidewalk and brought them home to pretty up the desk. I was taking support calls so whatever little stress relief helped. :>

It was in May 2009 so the flowers are long gone. The M would have been from '89-'91; can't remember which one it was.

You were taking support calls with a steering wheel attached to the front of the desk?

The speakers are ADAM A5X.

Absolutely brilliant speakers although almost overkill for my rather small setup. The furthest I have turned the volume knob is about 40% above the +/- 0db mark and they were already too effing loud :)

What headphones are those?

Logitech UE 9000

The bluetooth part is great for listening to music, but not so great for gaming/watching videos as it tends to lag. That's why I'm using them wired.

How do you like that Corsair mouse? I've had my eye on it for a while.

First impression so far? The top is glossy and smooth, but the sides are a little rough and allow for a non-slip grip. The build quality seems very solid and sturdy, the aluminum? on the bottom is nice and there's weights on the bottom that you can take out or keep in use. The end part that juts out from the middle feels a little weird, but probably just because I have small hands and actually feel it when I grip the mouse. I like the scroll wheel and the general shape of the mouse feels pleasant.

I need a new desk.

The tricky part is finding the balance between "normal desktop area with KB+M in easy, ergonomic reach" and "flight sim cockpit". Too much conflict between ideal stick positioning and ideal mouse + mousepad positioning. Also got a big Steel Battalion control panel eating up space because I need the pedals for the time being. (Sold off my CH Pro Pedals, so I don't have proper rudder pedals right now.)

And before someone asks about the pink Steelseries Experience I-2/Icemat, I didn't know it was going to be pink when I bought it; the color was unspecified.
