Duh! I can't believe I didn't think of that! May need more white bars!

I'm still talking with the manufacturer, but it seems that everything's fine. The small issues are caused by the fact that the prototypes are made with a different process than the final product.

So it seems we are all good and ready for production. I'll try to talk with MD today and fix a date for the GB.

First though I want to be 100% sure that the final run will be perfect!

When this starts on MassDrop, do expect orders of hundreds, nay thousands of these to be made.  Just make sure the Manufacturer you chose can handle that amount of orders  .

Just would like to know because the current one is too old and non specific about actual colours being used in the construction of these spacers.  Please remember old man here and not use to taking on a guess what colours will be available for purchase because I have changed what I really want to add in my final order here.

You can dye the light-gray PBT one, sure. It's very light actually.

Please keep ordering if you are interested even with the outdated form. That serves mainly to collect emails and to have a ballpark idea of the final numbers.

As soon as we go live all preorders will receive an email. I'm doing my best to give at least to the first batch of preorders (the first 1-2 months) a discount.

I'm dealing with 3 very different time zones (California, China, Italy). It's like speaking to Mars, you have to wait 24h before all the parties reply.

Anyway as soon as the manufacturer confirms: 1) color accuracy, 2) that the final product will be free of the issues of the prototype, we could start.

Hmmm. This is something we need to know sooner than later. I'm sure a bunch of people can add 1 more piece to each order if it'll make or break the GB.

Sure, if it's the difference between meeting the MOQ or not I can do it, but I don't really have the use for more than 1 of a particular colour. Have to see how it plays out.

Cool, one black and one white is what I wanted to do.  But just a heads up, I may not be the only one who'll want to downgrade order size from what was selected on the survey way back when (since the minimum was 2 for each color, I put 2 white and 2 black).  There may be a noteworthy discrepancy between the actual orders you get vs what you expect.

When ordering in Space-bars whether they be made out of ABS or PBT you ALWAYS ORDER in lots of 4 or 6 for each Colour because these are extremely rare.

Who knows if Matt3o will ever do this thing again yet we get 'clinchers' claiming they will only need ONE space-bar, hang your head  down in shame, when you frequent Geekhack  .

PLUS when you buy all of these space-bars and you decide to dump your Thorpies (only the insane would do this) then sell the spacers in the classifieds section on this forum, where they will be fought over for.   You guys have no idea how rare all PBT space-bars are for all original Realforce and HHKB keyboards.  Don't be stupid and miss out on getting as much of these babies as possible    .

I've already filled this form months ago, just thinking of adding more space bars to my order but I figure I don't need to do that since the actual order will be at Massdrop anyway. Should I add my orders here - definitely interested in pre order discount.

I didn't think this far into the future. I only ordered two. Gonna jack that number up as I can always keep plenty of extra and help out people who may miss this.

Smart man, although getting the 10AE 55g should be your ONLY reason to live because after you attain it, everything else in life seems lacklustre at best  .

On topic: I think Medium Grey is what you're looking for. It won't be color matched as that is apparently a very expensive process, but matt3o says he/they/the powers that be will do their best to eyeball it and get as close to a match as possible to the rf10ae grey as possible.

I don't know if people really want medium grey but I personally probably marked it by mistake (don't really remember marked or not), infact, I only wanted one spare dark grey PBT space for because the ABS is already getting shiny (had to order two), and I certainly didn't need the medium grey (maybe marked it because the form is confusing, you probably need to add a comment that medium grey is not the same as the original dark grey).
