Please take a look at that C and E key and tell me that the difference isn't HUGE, huge enough to see even without contact lenses. Pretty sure you can't find a single set on Taobao that has worse lettering issues.
But of course the legends thickness nearly doubling won't be a problem once I get this set in person.
Work in progress? The legends look way, way worse than in R1. A step back is not to be expected from a work in progress and they sure as fk should never get sent out like this.
Why am I, why is anyone, buying doubleshot keycaps? Because of the high contrast, low fray and the consistency. Failing that bad at this seems like a major mistake to me.
Yes, I'll probably have to sell these, which sucks. I expected way more and to be honest, I expected CTRLALT to not sent out a product as faulty as this.
Well, lesson learned I guess.
The legends are flat out not worse, there is nothing subjective or discussion about that, I know as a fact they aren't, so if they appear that way to you, then there is an issue with the picture or your point of reference
I want to be very clear in stating there are indeed legend issues, and that you have every right to not be satisfied with any purchase you make, however your opinion based on very limited evidence in this case I know to be factually inaccurate
These sets will be supported by jtk and issues will be rectified, but the vitriol you are speaking with is not necessary prior to you seeing the keys in person, and at that point I'd be more than happy to discuss with you issues you have with the set, which I'm sure you will still have, I'm not suggesting seeing them in person will be a magic fix, but I do know they aren't even close to the level you making out
I guess I should state, I really don't have a horse in this race, I do not take any money from jtk on these sets, I'm no more bias towards working with jtk than I am towards any other manufacturer I have dealt with, with the exception of I found is after care support to be outstanding and he is always very open and communicative to me, something I've found severely lacking with other manufacturers, but I have no more incentive to praise jtk than I do anyone else
Given the circumstances and the stage he's at, I'm very happy with the results, people are of course entitled to their opinions, but it's very hard to take criticism seriously from people that don't have the keys on hand yet, once they do, I can gather feedback, take that collectively to jtk, and look at options and resolutions moving forward
