lol, Insomnia 51 is also known as i-Series. It's a gaming event run by Multiplay, it's the UK's biggest LAN. Easter bank holiday will house i51 in the Ricoh arena coventry, www.multiplay.co.uk (:

Possibly going to i51. I'm 100% going to i52 and may be there more than just gaming, who knows yet. I know AVJab (Jack) and we've caught up at a few LANs.

Ah awesome, will be cool to catch up with you. I may be having some stand space for i52 with others, not sure yet though, been wanting to do it for a while but its been cost prohibitive.

Not gonna lie, from what I understand and have heard, it's a fair price for the smallest slot. It depends entirely what you sell. I notice you guys do sell the 60% keyboards, maybe a special advertisement of those to people who'd never know they exist could cover the costs. But overall unless you intend to mass sell a lot of stuff, it's probably not worth it :D

This looks awesome. I'm totally down to go to this. I have a few questions though.

Firstly security. With people wanting to move around and check out different parts of the show, and people turning up with rigs, how do I make sure nobody is going to steal my stuff? Do we bring our own screens too? The logistics of it all sound interesting. I have carted my PC around enough to know that it's a pain in the ass.

What is the pricing for tickets? I can't go on the website at home and the mobile site is pretty terrible.

Drinking? Please?

Security:- Never had an issue. I've left my PC, HHKB, headphones, DAC etc on display, for hours on end and even over night and its not an issue. Get to know the people you are sitting next to/ across from, it helps if you feel nervous about leaving gear.  You take your own screen yea, carting it around can be an arse, I give you that.

Prices are a bout 100 for the weekend, thats the BYOC ticket.

Drinking, yes lot of it. The last venue was pants, **** selection of beer, crap spirits and it was mad expense yo. The new venue looks cool, its got proper bars, eating places etc. So beer, yes  :thumb:

Yeah, I thought that would help. If you've done it before, then I've got no qualms with that. How did you carry all your stuff to and from then?

I shall have to look into getting a ticket then, if some other guys are going. Get a hotel booked as well maybe. What else goes on after the day of gaming finishes?

Well I've not heard much about the Ricoh, I don't live too far away so I should probably find out if its alright, and more importantly, what the drinks prices are like.

I agree with Pexon,

He is mad to leave his hhkb on display though ;)

I take everything there in a big box which i keep in my car, and then things like my keyboard/mouse/headphones i put in my backpack of an evening and take it to my hotel room.
during the day its not an issue as pexon says, you know the people you go with/make friends with the people around you and they keep an eye on your stuff and you keep an eye on thiers :)

OK cool. Don't know what board I'm going to go with :P

Well I still have the cardboard box that my tower came in so I will use that and put my screen and other stuff in a rucksack.

Admin area?

So that's potentially three :P I will look into rooms and getting tickets then :) might get a twin room just in case someone needs to crash or we get more people or something. Or, you know, gamer chicks. Just push the bed together :P

I'll be there for the 3 events this year. Sat with the Parvum crew and Pexon for the events he is at. Along with the aquatuning crew we are a good bunch. Will be a cool range of boards between us. Filcos, HHKBs and i'll have my KMAC happy there. Will post here before the event so we can say hello.

Well I've booked on my own, but one of the guys from work is coming and hes bringing some mates too. no idea where they have booked their seats though, I will ask in the morning. Probably somewhere in the console place because they are console gamers first and foremost.

I have no idea how I'm going to carry an NZXT phantom and a screen around with me.

OK cool, get them to book too, there is no guarantee the seats next to you wont be taken.

When you get there, just sign in and then you can start the horrible task of lugging in all your gear from your car  8) I'll have a 60% board, 22" LG screen and a tiny little case, so I can make it one or two trips lol  :p

They have. They are sat in the MMO area. But I guess when it gets closer to the time they will let you choose exactly where you want to sit. If I'm sat on my own with a load of dota nerds im not too bothered, I'm relatively easy to talk to :) What area did you get?

Mmm, I think a car will be my only option. Although I've not tried to fit my PC in my little Golf yet.... Hopefully the parking wont be horrendous. And I'm going to have to bring a mic and headphones I think for whatever is going on, I don't even know.

This is my case. Next to a 50 inch TV...

Oh boy, I need to get mine done soon, I'm still rocking my huge 3 year old build. What are the specs for it? Gonna bring two boards with me I think hah, just put some new PBT doubleshots from Vortex on my KC108, and I will have my V60 with me too ;)

The cold ones will be good, and I hear Zane Lowe is headlining as well! It's going to be sick!

Nothing fancy for this one, I will be going all out for winter lan. Just my 2500K build but in a sweet ITX case.

For Winter, I have some sponsorship for watercooling etc, so will transplant a new ITX mobo and hopefully the latest gen i7 in with a shedload of pretties and cables.

I'm going to just bring my sixty and my HHKB in regards to boards

Sponsorship eh? You lucky thing! Hopefully I will have a nice V2 on my 108 for it too!

Winter LAN is same place, first weekend in Decemeber normally.

I tend to post around on the UK PC forums a bit, so I do get lucky with a bit of sponsorship every now and again.
