that's my general impression from watching streams as well. on the positive side, there's still a good 3 months before release, we can expect tons of balance changes and new content by then. i do have high hopes for this game, but i wouldn't be shocked if it becomes another overwhelmingly mediocre disappointment like Titanfall did
I don't think its problems stem from balance... Balance only comes into play when your playing at a decent level, and from what I've seen the only people doing that, are the guys balancing the game.
Tbh I think the biggest issue is the core design of the game, you can't choose your role, every role is fixed and not really that dynamic and the monster is alone. If you play as a party and one of you gets stuck with the monster it just sucks for them... And if your playing as a party who can play vs a monster who hasn't then it's massivly one sided.
Idk, I feel like the core gameplay design is just bad... At least Titan fall was a good design doc (or at least for people who like that kind of game); cod with mechs
