TODAY'S WEATHER
« on: Fri, 01 November 2013, 09:33:41 »
So it's drizzling and windy out here, but a little warmer than normal. Not too bad for November I don't think.

What's the weather like where you are at? Do you like the current weather at your location?

We had storms last night, 'almost' tornadoes, it's much cooler today after the cold front passed.

What's up with this howling wind here in CT? It kept me up half the night last night (and on Halloween of all nights).

I need a weather forecast!!!

Uhh wait, I mean... it's warm and dry on Vulcan. As usual...

It's about 26 degrees Celsius here, blue sky, full on sun, slight breeze.

And tomorrow's supposed to have a max of 14 degrees.

Go figure.

Typical Melbourne weather.

Heh heh. I know what you mean. They are both great weather spots, but just a couple degrees cooler and a little more water really allows the bay area to edge out SD. Plus the actual land area of bay area is far more interesting than flat-ish, desert SD. That being said, I love SD tremendously, priceless in so many ways. Downtown to Mission Hills, Coronado, Point Loma, Ocean Beach and the stretch of beach from La Jolla to Carlsbad are my stomping grounds.

Today it's 27C (80.6F) - heaven on earth type of weather.  In fact it makes you jump out and run naked across the rocks and sand.  In fact my boss would certify me if I did it during daylight hours.  At night it's a different story  ;D .

It's about 14 degrees C here today, and been raining on and off.

The pools of water along the driveway have mostly dried up now.

Coldwave?  14 is quite cool - borderline uncomfortable if you're outside and not actually doing anything.

Also I might add that we drink outside when it's as cold as -17.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I do not envy that.  Sounds miserable to be honest.

It has its perks....but those mosquitoes...and the humidity...and the days where it starts out at 40F and ends at 80F.....just isn't right.

Honestly, unless you're naked in every picture you post I will no longer be satisfied.  You set the bar far too high that one time.

Edit: There's totally a reasonable context here, I promise...
