What computer games do you play?

Been playing a little bit of the Battlefield Hardline beta and really enjoying it. However, it is getting a lot of hate because of the price and people are saying that its a $70 mod for battlefield 4. I am enjoying it thoroughly and will probably buy it either way.

mech warrior kinda.. but not as much flying.. but there wasn't really much flying in armored core..it's a lot of glide.

Tried to emulate the ps2 version but didn't have much success and as far as I know there's never been a port for PC. Haven't had a console for a while either. I'll check out mechwarrior, though. Thanks!

well you can prob find ps3 at quite a steep discount considering now that the ps4 is out..

Dragon Age Origins.

I think it was even 5$ for the Ultimate Edition which includes most of the DLCs directly from Steam so you don't have to use Origin. And they sold it several times for that price again after I got it. Totally worth it.

Tried playing System Shock 2, holy **** that game isn't very fun at ALL... used all my psy powers trying to kill zombies when I needed them to take out CCTV camera's... no mana means that I just got raped where ever I went over and over until I'd literally beaten to death zombies and monkeys with a wrench. Had a pistol but couldn't use it...

Got super boring super fast and super lame. Dsn't help the fact that the inventory stuff dsnt pause the game so when your ****ed, you stay ****ed, and the melee combat is super garbage.

Meh.. I tried it, didn't like it, don't get it. Though I hate Bioshock 1 and 2 so I guess it's no great shock that I dislike the gameplay of System Shock I guess.

I agree with you about the hype on System Shock II. Not warranted at all, plus the UI is just terribly clunky for a corridor shooter. How many times have I died trying to switch PSY powers?
You know what else came out in 99? Counter Strike, a far better shooter. Know what else? Silent Hill, a far better horror game.

I haven't got around to System Shock 2 yet.

I played System Shock 1 back in 94/95 and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere, the blend of gameplay, it was extremely innovative for its time. And it was tough too!

From what I gather the sequel just remade it but where it was kind of ground-breaking 7 years before, the sequel was probably less so. I think they made more money with the sequel though as I know hardly anyone that played the original but lots that played or at least know of, the sequel.

The clunkiness of it - for me back then - I didn't even think of it as I was too amazed by the game itself. But I can understand today, with the highly polished shooter/RPGs (Deus Ex is closest that comes to mind) it probably doesn't compare well in terms of the 'smoothness' of the experience. But I would hope it makes up for it with depth, atmosphere and storyline.

Really want to play it... I secretly want to get laid off at work...  take a year off and catch up on my game backlog

The UI design is what it is, but yeah for the first hour or two your forced to kill stuff with a wrench, tiny enemies that can shoot magic that your attacks go through and then big enemies that can attack faster than you.

It's just a totally garbage start to a game.

Really trying to like Sleeping Dogs, but the hand to hand combat and driving controls are so, so bad. It's such a good game, marred by horrific control programming (and the occasional rogue camera.) Why oh why did they go with this combat system, it's making me really sad

you really need solid 60fps to enjoy this game.. because the combat isn't terribly responsive..

if you're at all ever below 60fps.. the whole control scheme is choppy.

I want demon souls on pc so bad! I will have to download it on ps3 someday. Also I want a ps4 just for bloodborne (project beast).

You could run both on an Amiga. 3D Checkers with the ShapeShifter emulator.
