How do I increase typing speed?

Hey Guys (And gals),
Today I just received my new mechanical keyboard (YAY!) and I want to know how I can increase my typing speed.
I am 14 Years old and my average typing speed is ~40 WPM, and my goal is to be able to type at least 70-80 WPM by my 15th Birthday (in December).
What tips do you have to help me achieve this?

What everyone else said. Besides proper typing form and a few little things, there is not much to do besides practice, typing tests over and over again.

I used to be able to do 100+ WPM, now I'm down to 70-80, but even after a few tests I can start getting closer to where I was.

yep, i went from a 60hz monitor to 144hz and my wpm increased in a similar proportion

for real though,

i used to type at 40wpm two years ago, now i'm at 90-110wpm

firstly corrected my typing form, and covering my hands with a tshirt to force myself to not look at the keyboard (blank keys would achieve the same thing)

just did buttloads of typing tests from multiple sites, and it eventually improved

i'm stuck here now it seems so, uh yeah dunno

Yeah me too, I'd say I average around 80 WPM when out of training, and around 96 WPM when I'm decently into it.

There's this one neat trick I can teach you for $3000, you hit 150+ consistently guaranteed. For proof visit my 10ff and typeracer profiles. Not scam

This ^ other than the obvious CPU issue you probably have (and the polling speed of your mouse), try Type Racer out.

Basically what you have to do is ignore anything TP says, and copy Sifo.

Also type alot every day.

Speed comes from typing without errors, not clicking away as fast as possible.

I genuinely improved my WPM with Typing Of The Dead. Played 20 minutes every day for about 2 months on increasing difficulty, that's what put me over 80. No joke.
