lol, you sound like you get a LOT of PMs messages. I actually still like Tapatalk for browsing. My Tapatalk usually reach up to 1GB because of those photos in the media thread and I have to clear the cache once a while. I can't imagine a 16GB phone, lol - poor poor Hoffman!

I run out of room wayyy too often.  But on the plus side I have unlimited data, so it's really not all that bad.

Low side will still be 16 GB @ $649 USD. The next bump up will be 64 GB at $749. I mean, 16 GB is fine when everything is in the cloud and there is no such thing as a data cap. Right? RIGHT!?

probably games. I have a 64GB and while I took many baby photos and videos, thankfully, it's still large enough for me that I don't have to transfer those videos monthly. But I'd imagine games and HD videos from iTunes would have taken more space home made videos.

Even then, it's mad to put 100K songs into the iPhone instead of selectively use a Smart Playlist and put songs in. The cost (of iPhone storage vs inconvenience of syncing) does not justify this, IMO. In fact, that cost can be used to subscribed to 10 years of iTunes Match, which means, those 100K songs is in iTunes and stream just fine.

Well, do remember that even though it's 128 GB, there is only like 117 GB of useable space. It's all a giant lie. Sue someone.

With the current iTunes and Apple Music, relying on playlists is impossible. On top of that with my last iPhone I had was 32gb and even then it was a hassle to manage my playlists and to be honest what I want to listen to changes and varies pretty wildly.

Definitely getting either the 6s or the plus, but won't be getting the iPad Pro I think.

Definitely not going to type with that ****ty cover. I'm actually looking forward to the Surface Pro 4.

The Samsung device asks you if you would like to be subjected to marketing when you set it up. Just don't check the box when setting up the phone. Additionally, if for some reason you do check it, you just go into your settings and opt right out of the notifications.

Allow me to briefly rant about yesterday:

WTF? The best thing about yesterday's keynote was Airstrip for Apple Watch, a third party app?? Adobe seriously messed up on stage...and the iPhone 6s has to be the dullest device in Apple's history. I recommend you all take a few minutes and watch some of Apple's old iPhone ads.

Where's the magic? The tantalizing connection between the human and technology? If anything, the iPhone 6s definitively proves that the iPhone is now (or maybe has been for some time) a piece of art; it exists for the sole purpose of existing. This phone isn't really solving our needs like the old devices could - we're now relying on what others can do to workaround Apple's blunders - aka the App Store. I miss the older iPhones...I guess you could say the 3GS is incremental, but the 6s is the first to be so lackluster IMO: 3GS had larger storage capacities, 4S had Siri, 5S had Touch ID...

I'm also intrigued by iPad Pro, but unless work is buying it for you, I'd hold off until the 2nd generation...even with a supposed 4GB of RAM it needs a better OS. I really hope that iPad Pro will signal to people (and themselves) to slow the $@#$ down with hardware, and focus on better software. The fact that an iPhone 6+ can have more apps on its homescreen than the iPad Pro is not only baffling, but embarrassing.

edit: So, no, not upgrading to the 6s, or the 6. Another year for me and my HTC One M8!

Apple forces obsolescence on their devices to a hilarious extent. New firmware brings old phones to a standstill, and they don't let people downgrade. Oh yeah, and if you have to restore your device, you must upgrade to their newest version. Apple clearly hates its customers.

Did the community ever make a reliable workaround after Apple killed SHSH-spoofing? I ditched my iPhone long ago. I do still have an iPad Touch 3g that works beautifully on iOS 3, though, while my dad's iPhone 4 on 7 is unusable for everything but texting and calling. And he has tried to optimize it.

You can still make SHSH blobs with TinyUmbrella. Supposedly ih8sn0w has discovered a exploit that may make these blobs relevant again...

I think it's fairly decent (the camera on the Nokia Lumias, WHOA), but the lack of *good* apps is a bit downtrodden. Even Microsoft's own offerings are just awful compared to their iOS and Android versions (Office and Skype, I'm looking at you) I dont even really care about apps, but am considering getting back into my time machine to go to 2005 and get a Blackberry. A coworker of mine has a windows phone, I'll get his thoughts tomorrow.

And people sometimes think this just means all the apps android and ios has. It's crazy the amount of basic, basic apps that aren't on the windows phone store

You make some good points. The way they force updates on you is really detrimental for the users. Things like that make me really not want to support them. My 4S was a champ on iOS 6. iOS 7 and 8 killed it for good.

Yeah all the Apple prices these days here are pretty nuts. I was thinking of getting a 15" MacBook Pro earlier this year, then it went up from $2000 to $2500 overnight for the base model. No can do.

I really hope Apple fixes some of the problems with iOS 8/9 that still persist, and that the cameras on the 6S are decent -- the ones on the 6 are terrible for anything other than macro.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

So is windows phone any good?  I've tried android and while the interface is okay I really hate the all-or-none app permissions.

I really like mine. The link with OneDrive is awesome. If I take a picture, I see it almost instantly appear in my Win10 pictures folder.

As for apps though, like others have said, there are a lot of basic apps that just don't exist. BBC news and Snapchat are just two examples. However, the apps it does have are really good. The news and Sports apps are good, Cortana is really good, camera on my 820 is awesome. I think it's the 820 anyway...

But I may get an iPhone 7 next year. As expensive as they are.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

@nextkeyboard, the highly popular iOS keyboard which is also a fully funded Kickstarter keyboard is now free for limited time. It used to be $4. Try it out.
