Poker 2 is coming this May!

EDIT: All right guys, don't get too excited. That makes me feel guilty. KBC never meets their release date so I don't expect this board to come out in May. Maybe by the end of this year.

Some exciting news for Poker lovers. According to brother Meat, Poker 2 will come to the market this May, as shown by the picture.



Features of Poker 2:
1. US ANSI layout, same as last generation Poker.
2. With plate. No plate version may come after the release.
3. Built-in seven levels of brightness LED customizable control. (I am not sure what he means by customizable, sorry.)


4. Thick PBT keycaps.


5. Comes with thick PBT RGB keycaps and key puller.


6. Cherry stabilizer.
7. 499 RMB ($80.
8. six keys rollover with USB connection.
9. All keys programmable.

I thought about getting a GH60 but decided not to. There is really no point of getting GH60 if you plan to use GH60 as a Poker/Pure. I am not a crazy board DIY fan so I may as well just stick to Pure/Poker and save some bucks.

Yes, that shop is selling white dye subs with meh font along with the Poker 2 for a "deal". They're not something the Poker 2 comes with stock, so nvmnd

I think this is significantly different than what was announced several months ago. It's good they decided to ditch the odd layout that was proposed before and stuck with the current poker layout. The caps look like thick PBT but OEM profile. I think the plate allows for removable switches as well, based on the 2nd picture in here. You can see a small gap in the center of that switch area. Not really sure though because of the lighting. It looks like these guys are catching on

I don't think it'll affect GH60 that much. We're already past an optimal price break, unless there is a mass drop out. If you just want a keyboard, then this may be a better choice. But if you hold value in a community-driven keyboard and more customization, then GH60 is the way to go.

That seems to be the user manual of Poker 2. Brother Meat posted that manual as an attachment in his OP but I don't have the software to unzip it Will update with some more information about it once I get a chance to read the manual.

A case for $80 lol. I bet the new Poker won't be out in May as promised, according to what KBC did in the past. Maybe you are better off getting a metal case from imsto. He mentioned in PM that he would probably organise a GB in one or two months.

That's what it sounds like to me. It seems like the only thing this keyboard is missing is a mod-friendly plate.

I am surprised that for $80 dollars this board comes with thick PBT keycaps. But function wise, there is really nothing new. As for programmability, GH60 can do it, of course KBC can do it too.

A keyboard like the Poker 2 does only take available components and current main stream technology to be built, so I do not see any reason a company that has already built the first version, cannot upgrade it with the new characteristics offered. Besides they have proved with the Poker X their willingness to offer something different than the main stream full size and TKL in the mechanical keyboard market, so I do not see this upcoming board facing any major roadblock to actually make into the market. Some changes in the PCB a new controller and that's it. They have not said anything like wireless that may do the upgrade a little more complicated. So let's see.

Well probably $80 is true, but by the time it hits the US, there will be high markups because of middleman and shipping. Original poker could be bought at $60 outside of US, but by the time it makes it here, it was over $100 + shipping. So I have doubts poker2 will be below $120 out the door.

The not-so-good thing about the Poker 2 is that the arrow keys being move to wasd. Now fn+space will make your wasd to be arrow keys unlike on poker x does it on right control side.
Sad sad thing. I really need that when playing Dota But I'm typing on a Poker 2 now just received it!

Well I have L Win switched to L FN and I also have L Alt & L FN switched. What this means is that I can use either FN + WASD for arrows or use the right cluster from FN + Spacebar

Kinda programmable It's not like on programmable keyboards that there is an actual software to do it. It's comparable to razer bw's when creating macro. Kinda sucks actually, plus you do have to press pn in order to use the key/macro you just did. At least from my understanding. not a 100% sure on that. LOL!

Great, after a dumb Fn layer occupying right alt on the Poker X, we get no menu and a still pretty brain-dead Fn layer claiming right win on this thing.

How am I supposed to operate the page up and down keys (" and /) while holding down Fn? That brother meat fellow is either a goddamn retard or must have one hell of a right pinky. Either way, if anyone feels like dropping their GH60 order for this, I'd be very happy to jump in.
