Yea, not much of a deal, but it is 7200 rpm. Most of the externals for less are usually the slower green drives at 5900 rpm or 5400 rpm.

it's the principle...   bf has traditionally meant good harddrive deals...

This is a corruption of age old tradition.

That's .033 per gig? That seems like a fair deal to me. Newegg had 4tb seagate drives for $130

amazon return policy is better, but it costs 1$ more per terabyte

for me 1/3 of seagate drives will have errors out of the box..

I do heavy testing uusing eraser for 5 days..  I keep the drives actively cooled during testing because they're not enterprise rated.

I've been using 2tb 7200 hitachi drives for years. I may end up upgrading some day, but I've yet to completely run out of storage.
