fever dreams arent pleasant

I dreamed about demik.  He was visiting Australia and I was showing him around, but he kept saying "I don't like being shown new things, I prefer being introduced to them".

I'm even an ******* in other people's dreams! Sry rowdy.  And that doesn't even make sense. Stupid me.

You were quite good about it, actually.  And we were riding around on a motor bike (which is odd, 'cause I can't).  Then we got stuck in a traffic jam, and ended up walking the rest of the way.  Then I woke up.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I was slightly bothered that I spent 9 hours yesterday driving over 400 miles to rescue my parents after their car broke down (more than happy to help, that's not a bother).

But I'm sorry to hear that Sent and demik's weekends were even worse.  :(

When I was young I loved to drive, sometimes I even did it just for fun. But now it is a dreadful chore.

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

The moment you cut into a model kit, after trying to remove the nub marks only to leave a huge gash in the model, GAH your battle damaged now :I

hahahaha

There are crazy people out there who use an exacto to cut in the middle of the nubs ,  then they hand sand down the nubs as to preserve the "perfect" continuity of plastic underneath.
FYI I usually sand via 400-1000-1500-2000 but its very hard on a curved surface when there are a million pannel lines so I just knife the top of, slipped though but nothing some green stuff shouldn't be able to fix just a pain in the butt

There's the irony, is that selling at $125 wouldn't be a profit for me hah.

Just went out to the shop to buy some things, and I notice a bearded guy sat on the other side of the road as I was driving off, just looking at me. When I got back he came straight up to the car door to ask if he could borrow my phone. He didn't smell great, and coming straight up to me like that immediately put me on edge. I called his friend instead who sounded like he was outside, and then he just walked off after I went indoors.

Called the police non-emergency number to report a suspicious person who I think was trying to steal my phone and the woman sounded like she wanted to do anything in the world other than talk to me. I'm not worried so much about my phone as I am about my car...

About 50% of time when I pull a key cap off the clears on my Gon The top of the keycap comes off. It's annoying and I have to hold the top half of the switch down with a mini flat head and gently rock the key cap puller with the other.

This is the first keyboard I've had where this has happened. Is this normal ?
Looking for Black KMAC 2 or KMAC LE Preferably unbuilt kit but will consider an assembled board with clears Please PM me if you can help 8) Always on the lookout for KBK/KWK Bro Reapers,V2s and Clack factory skulls have lots of caps for trade

Haven't had any trouble with mine and it's using new clears - are they really new or have they been worn in for a bit?

I have 2 other boards with clears and have had 2 or 3 others before them. This is the first board I have had where the switches are mounted this way. It's also my first GON though. The key caps feel very tight and are a ***** to get off. I am always super gentle though as I have had clears where I have broken the switch stem off by mistake.

Anyways I don't think it's damaging or affecting the board in a negative way(I hope) its just freaking annoying  :-\  what switches did it happen to you with Sent?

Has anyone else had this happen to them ? I feel like the more it happens the weaker the little side tabs on the switch will get and before you know it ill either be buying new switch tops or having to solder in whole new switches grrrrr

I guess I just need to leave the set I have on my board

I have 2 other boards with clears and have had 2 or 3 others before them. This is the first board I have had where the switches are mounted this way. It's also my first GON though. The key caps feel very tight and are a ***** to get off. I am always super gentle though as I have had clears where I have broken the switch stem off by mistake.

Anyways I don't think it's damaging or affecting the board in a negative way its just freaking annoying  :-\  what switches did it happen to you with Sent?

Has anyone else had this happen to them ? I feel like the more it happens the weaker the little side tabs on the switch will get and before you know it ill either be buying new switch tops or having to solder in whole new switches grrrrr

it's not the switch..  it's the caps no?

the dca that came with dox were "too tight"

Well yes the caps are on very tight and clears notoriously suffer from this problem. However none of the other clears I have had done this with keycaps that were tight on the stem. Like i said maybe 1/3 of the switch tops will pull up and off with key caps unless I hold the switch top down with something while removing the cap

I guess I just need to leave the set I have on my board

I had issues on the board with clears that I had but also with vintage blacks before.  I didn't have so many switch tops come off but a couple here and there.  Like tp4 said, some of the caps are just a bit too tight.  Case in point, the blank Gaterons I have.  They are a ***** to pull off of anything and I always have to be crazy careful with them.

Will try to pay NHS a visit for the first time. And why must rain start right before I need to go out?

sethk_, I found out Belgium's drinking age. It's 18 for strong spirits and 16 for anything else. I am not sure if any Belgian knows that.

Recovering sufficiently from my flu to probably go back to work tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing your experience sent!!

Has this happened to anyone else and if so what was your solution !? Or did you just decide to leave the same key set on ? I'm wondering if this is because the switches have been modded. Maybe Gon opened and closed them a lot when lubing stickering and swapping the springs and it just weakened the tabs on the switches ?

Ughh I don't know here's a pic of the board with Hyperfuse

What's bothering me is that my currency is slowly collapsing, lost about 20% in the last month or two.... So not gonna be able afford any new hobby items for a while :( Time to think about immigrating I think. Anyone know of some good marketing jobs (English speaking, particularly interested in Canada), let me know. Got a good amount of experience as a marketing manager.

DHL delivery is terrible.... Took the day off yesterday to receive a package, and they never knocked or rang. Just left a 'sorry we missed you' tag saying there were there at 12:30pm. I was in my kitchen making lunch at 12:30 PM, and my dog, who barks at every person who even walks across the street, didn't hear him.

Now i have to sign the slip and have them leave 600$ worth of keyboard on my doorstep and hope it doesn't rain or get stolen.
